  • Great vacation condo

"Our stay in this condo was excellent. We had plenty of room for two families, (Two ten year old boys loved the spiral staircase to the loft). Plenty of comfortable seating including the four large recliners. Well lit and easy access underground parking made day trips to local areas easy. We cooked meals comfortably in the kitchen. Thanks for the spices, we forgot a few of those and it made the meal. The close location to all of the base mountain events and businesses was very convenient. For a summertime visit, the location was great, I would gladly rent again in the winter as this place is right in the thick of it, just steps away from the gondola and ticket office."

  • Mixed Review-- Some good things, some not so good

"The room was clean and nice, though smaller than I expected. It fit a queen size bed and a sitting area, and separately it had a tiny kitchen area. When I called VRBO they said it had a balcony with views of the mountains, but in fact it had a miniscule balcony (I doubt you could walk out on it) that faced the main hotel driveway and car valet drop off, so that was your primary view. Ugh. It also faced other buildings, and had some view of some low mountains. The view from this third floor room was very disappointing. The bed was hard and uncomfortable and the pillows were overly soft and provided no support. On the up side, the pool and the three infiniti jacuzzis were very nice. They have a great gym and they provide you free passes to classes. They also had a live singer with guitar on Friday night in the hotel lobby, and a fire pit in the hotel lobby terrace. The lobby bar looked nice, too. The ambience of the hotel was quite nice and the location was great for those of us who wanted to be in Avon. Take note that in addition to the VRBO fee you'll have to pay $25 per night for hotel fees, and $30 per day for valet parking. There is no other parking in the vicinity. Overall, I would stay at the Westin again but would look for another room with a better view (and hopefully more comfortable bed and pillows). I recall seeing one with a view over the pool and mountains. I wish I had picked that one."
