  • Beautiful, very convenient to slopes

"This property was perfect for our two families, including 4 adults and 5 children. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The shared hot tub and pool were plenty big and clean and not very busy. The convenience of being able to walk to the gondola within 5 minutes made our trip very easy. We rented skis through Fleischer Sports and stored our equipment there each night. We had one maintenance issue involving the heat in our property. Retreatia handled the matter right away."

  • Nice location, Kind of Noisy

"This unit is in a great location very close to the Gondola Square. You can catch one of the shuttles that runs every 10 minutes and be to the base of the mountain in just 5 minutes time or less. At first Steamboat feels big compared to some ski resorts and their villages being that there are so many condo's, but with the shuttle service it becomes very easy and stress free getting around and to the mountain. The property is a little older, but the unit is well taken care of. The additional room with the bunk beds is a little tight and doesn't offer much room for luggage. Kitchen and living room were very nice and has everything you need. My only complaint would be the noise. Unfortunately the 8am-8pm quiet time hours does not get followed be really almost anyone. We were in town over winter break for many colleges and the MLK holiday weekend so there were a lot of students and young adults partying. The ceilings in the living room are not insulated and you can hear everything up above. The rooms are a little better and offer some relief. We had to call the police one night of our stay as someone was beating on a door and window of a neighboring unit at 2:30AM and trying to start a fight. The other nights were just loud because of parties above. This is not Retreatia's fault as they can't control what takes place by others and since the building has some of the units being rented out by a separate resort there isn't much any one can do if the rules aren't enforced. On a normal weekend you may never run into the noise issues, but it can and probably does happen often enough. Retreatia does a good job of answering questions and taking care of any issues you may have. We would stay in this area and location again when visiting Steamboat."
