  • Grandson wants to go back!!

"Each year we take the grandchildren to a different place for our summer vacation. The youngest grandchild wants to go back to 3001 Mountaineer again next year. The condo was clean and quite comfortable for our group of three adults and five children. One grandson chose to sleep in the large walk in closet - Harry Potter style. Rather than go tubing one day, the kids wanted to stay at the condo and play at the pool. The place was quite accommodating and comfortable. A great setting for family bonding!!"

  • Perfect Base Camp for Steamboat Ski Trip

"Just concluded a long ski weekend in Steamboat. My highlights of staying at this property include: 1. Great and thorough communication and information from owner through booking and prior to trip - no surprises 2. Direct flight from Atlanta to Hayden - easy to get to a hard to get to place 3. Shuttle service from airport to condo (discounted rate through property owner), and FREE resort shuttle to get around Steamboat meant no need for the additional expense of a rental car 4. Nicely decorated, very comfortable condo with everything you need to cook in or just relax 5. Washer and dryer in condo meant no need to overpack - fresh ski socks a plus 6. Great little gourmet grocery store / liquor store / egg sandwich and GOOD coffee a short walk away - they make pizzas too 7. The on-mountain ski locker right next to gondola means no lugging equipment back and forth every day - easy 8. Short walk to the lifts / restaurants and shops at the base (again, while not lugging gear) Will definitely be back....."

  • Like renting a friends house in Steamboat

"We have rented about 20 different places all of the world on VRBO. This is a terrific house in the town of Steamboat. It is in a residential neighborhood, so it is literally like renting a friends house in Steamboat. The house is very nice, clean and well stocked. Any small issue we had-like no lime squeezer for our margaritas, we would mention to Jane when she would check in and BOOM she is at the door with a lime squeezer and glasses. The care she took of her home and us was fantastic. We were there to ski, two families, 4 kids...Lots of room to spread out. You have to drive to the mountain-take about 7-10 min max and park. But the Steamboat parking situation is very easy to navigate and if you are at the mountain before 9am parking is free. There is a small local sledding hill close by and when we were there the snow was epic! The kids loved going in the hot tub and brining snow balls with them"

  • Return to Steamboat with Moving Mountains

"I’ve planned two trips to Steamboat Springs within the past three years. Both trips I’ve used Moving Mountains, I could not be more pleased with the properties and their customer service. Our family of 13 enjoyed Falconhead Lodge the first time in January, 2013 so much that a return trip was planned for Thanksgiving, 2015. Our family grew in the meantime and had outgrown Falconhead(on one side but not large enough for both units).I decided on Bear Grande for all the space and privacy for each couple as well as the bunk rooms for the children. Erin and Britt with Moving Mountains were so helpful and I probably drove them a little crazy during planning with my excitement. They joined us for dinner one night and we were able to get to know them on a more personal basis. Such great young ladies! We also enjoyed Mr. Maintenance… Ron… he drove us around the first full day we arrived and shared his cell number in case we had any problems with anything in the house. Patrick and John were our shuttle drivers the rest of the week and Victoria and her team came out for the mid-week clean. I’m not sure who does the hiring or training at Moving Mountains but they are all unbelievable. It’s all about customer service and all of these people gave us their “all” during the week we visited Steamboat. We had our lift ticket passes all ready to go thanks to Erin and Britt as well as a team effort for private ski lessons with Allie, Eric and Sasha as instructors! Thank you Moving Mountains for welcoming us back to Steamboat. We loved our home away from home."
