  • Epic View

"BuI showed up to down hill cabin with the most amazing view, close to the town in Silverthorn. I was nervous because the cabin was pet-friendly. We didn't have pets to bring with us. My husband and my daughter are allergic dog's. However, the house was so clean that they both never needed allergic medicine; super clean. The kitchen was beyond equipped that I made my family my epic meals. There is nothing better than waking up, Christmas morning to a wood fire with snow, foxes and amazing breakfast. We will definetely coming back for more fun longer than we stayed."

  • Amazing place to stay!!

"We just returned from a wonderful week at the boat house. It was everything we thought it should be and more. The location is unbeatable...quiet and removed from the hustle and bustle of town with amazing views and every bit of recreational activity right out the door. We have every intention of making this a yearly trip and coming back to stay each summer. The two (small) things I would note here: the wifi comes from the owner's cabin next door and we found it totally unreliable so don't count on it (but you're probably not booking this place based on availability of wifi). Also, there is a note inside that the tap water comes from the lake and while they take multiple measures to purify it, they don't guarantee its safety. I would guess that the water is safe to drink but you should know this beforehand if you want to bring bottled water so you don't have to go back out to get it. Other than these two small points, we couldn't have had a better stay and can't wait to come back next summer!!"

  • Rustic cabin good for large or multiple families

"We enjoyed a relaxing stay at the cabin in mid-October. The view was excellent and was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed the large deck and quiet surroundings. It is in a great location if you are interested in spending time in Grand Lake or Rocky Mountain National Park. I would recommend this to large or multiple families as the home is large and there is good separation between the bedrooms. I would give the property a 3.5 or 4 just due to some deferred maintenance and housekeeping issues. On a side note, if you are visiting Grand Lake in the off season make sure to stock up on groceries ahead of time. Many of the restaurants were closed and the (very small) grocery store closed at 5PM each day."
