  • Great for hiking in East Vail

"This location is great for summer hiking. Besides all the places you can drive to around Vail, you can walk several great hikes from out this house's door. (Gore Creek trail, Deluge Lake trail, Bighorn Creek for the adventurous, or the paths along the hills or the walking path/bike ride to Vail) The house has nice facilities (clean and modern kitchen, bathrooms, TV and WiFi) and a hot tub to return to after hiking/skiing. The owner was very friendly and helpful."

  • Perfect vacation home for groups or large families

"We spent a week in this wonderful house and all the reviews were spot on. The location is great: gorgeous, quiet setting but only a few minutes drive into Vail village or on the shuttle. The house itself is warm, inviting and has a great open layout with a deck, hot tub and grill. The kitchen was open and never felt crowded even with 10 people around! Jane is an excellent hostess and the house was stocked with everything we needed from kitchen items to linens to board games. We stayed here with multiple families (and multiple kids) and the layout easily fit everyone in the main common area comfortably as well provided plenty of privacy with both upstairs and downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms. The kids especially loved the bunk beds. Jane went above and beyond when the Colorado weather caused a change in our travel plans -- unexpected and greatly appreciated! We can't wait to go back."

  • Great Stay for a Vail Vacation!!

"First of all, Vail is BEAUTIFUL and there are TONS of things to do in the area! If you are looking for a vacation, I would definitely recommend here! We took a girls a trip out for the weekend and had a blast! There were enough beds that no one had to share. Two bedrooms were master suites that each had lofts for an additional bed. This would work out great for a family with kiddos! There was also another room that had 4 bunk beds. The house was in great condition. I also appreciate that with 8 girls, there were several bathrooms!! The kitchen was very nice and had everything that we needed for supplies. If you happen to forget something condiment wise they will most likely have some in the garage fridge. They also have some beer and hard liquor out there, they just ask that if you take some, try to leave some. You don't really need a vehicle once you get to the house. Richard, the owner, said they have bikes if you want to check out the area. If you are wanting to get somewhere, the bus stop is an incredibly close walk from the house. All bus transportation is free as well. We took an excursion to go Turtle Tubing and took the bus to Vail, where the Turtle Tubing bus picked us up. It was very convenient! Overall I would definitely recommend this place. I hope we get to take a vacation there again soon! The owners are incredible and the house is AWESOME!!"

  • Stunning setting for a family get together

"This home was perfect for our large family get together. It was beautifully landscaped outside and well decorated inside. It was just as the photos portrayed, large spacious rooms with high ceilings. We had 9 adults and 2 little ones. The five bedrooms gave everyone privacy, while the large family room accommodated all for card games, TV watching or just gathering. The kitchen was well stocked and there was seating for 12, placing the 2 tables in the dining area together. Due to the open layout of these areas, no one ever felt left out of the conversation... We never even used the second family room on the lower level. Leslie and John thought of everything: from hints on how to bake at high altitudes, recommendations for dining or carry out, things to do in Vail, operation of the hot tub, etc. Summer is the ideal season to visit, if you don't ski. There are plenty of activities to check out (walk, hike, bike, golf, raft, shop, eat, concerts, farmer's markets, the local Bighorn Park, Piney River Ranch, etc.). This house in East Vail is on a quiet cul-de-sac but it is a short drive into Vail, and close to a bus stop on the route into town. You won't be disappointed in renting this property. It was spotless and well maintained. The stream running along side the house, all the Aspen trees quaking, and the view of the mountains remind me of what I love about vacationing in Colorado. Leslie was also prompt in answering questions and a pleasure to deal with."
