  • Another fantastic stay at Moose Lodge

"Moose Lodge has become our home-away-from-home! This is without a doubt our favorite vacation rental and our family travels quite a bit. We love the fact that this home is perfect for 2 families to stay in. The 2 master suites give each couple their own "get away" and we let the kids debate over which bunk room is for the girls and which one the boys get. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare all your meals and eliminate the need to go out. If you do go out a few suggestions are (Tabernash Tavern in Tabernash, Bistro 28 at Pole Creek Golf Course, De'Antonio's Pizza in WInter Park). The dining room table is sooo large that everyone has plenty of room to eat. The game/movie room in the basement is perfect for non-stop ping-pong tournaments or competitive pool players. Never ending fun is had in this room. We'll even take a night to have a movie night. It's too beautiful outside to spend too much time in front of the tv. We are on vacation after all and should unplug and enjoy all that the area has to offer! NEW hot tub was recently added. I torqued my back during a round of golf at Pole Creek and the new jets that move up and down your spine were just what I needed. So great to put the kids to bed and have some adult time in the hot tub admiring the bright stars above and a clear view of the Milky Way! Who can forget about the fire pit! Every evening that wasn't raining had a fire blazing in the fire pit. We would roast marshmallows and have s'mores, do a family devotion and sing songs as our teens played guitar. If it's raining out, not to worry, the fireplace is the perfect place to bring it all inside! In case you couldn't tell by my review...We LOVE Moose Lodge. The only down side about this house is leaving it to go home!"

  • Awesome - Fabulous - Relaxing

"Dates of stay: August 24, 2016 to August 30, 2016 = an A++ property! Communications with Lisa Mahoney, the owner of this fabulous property, began in June of 2015, as our son and now daughter-in-law were to be married on the grounds of the property. This was to be a "location wedding," for us - and Lisa was there to answer questions about the house and property throughout this tedious process. The summer mountain backdrop from the house and property were just stunning which added to the allure of this special day! The house has a COMPLETELY equipped gourmet kitchen; and every room in the house has been custom decorated to suit this beautiful mountain setting. The photos on VRBO are accurate, but do not do the property justice - the rooms are well equipped and the living area is a very large, spacious area. We hosted a Rehearsal Dinner at the house the night before the wedding, and were thankful for the expanse of this area! I could go on and on about the comfort and accommodations at the OSO House. It is the PERFECT place for large family gatherings. The fact that all but one room is ensuite ( in all fairness, that room has a hall bath just outside the door) and each has access to a private patio - if guests want to have quiet time - their room will afford this! We were visited each morning by a resident red fox, and two young deer - and of course, the chipmonks. The property is a short 15-20 minute drive to the Winter Park ski area where family and friends met to take on the challenge of the summer toboggan slide, the maze and of course shopping in the Village. 45 minutes north of the property is Grand Lake and the Adams Falls hike. The falls hike is an easy hike, but keep in mind, the altitude in this area... Do plan to stop for lunch in Grand Lake, walk the wooden boardwalks, and enjoy this quaint mountain town. We took a day trip loop through the Rocky Mountain National Park. The entrance to the Park is just outside of Grand Lake. We drove all the way to Estes, Colorado through the park, stopping to take the hiking trail at the 12,000 foot level ; had lunch in Estes, and then made our way back to Fraser, stopping in Grand Lake before heading back to the OSO House. WOW! This drive is majestic folks! We saw moose, elk, deer, fox and yellow marmots - most from the comfort of our vehicle. We were gone from 10:30am to 5:30pm - plan for a day trip, because you will be stopping frequently. Fab Wedding & Fab stay!"

  • This house is a SUPERB place to vacation with your family!!

"We stayed from July 16th to July 23, 2016. This 5 bedroom, 3 bath house is an ideal vacation location! There were 6 adults and 7 kids from the ages of 15 to 1 year in our group and we never felt like "we were crowded or on top of each other". This house is located in the mountains where the temps were high 70's to mid 80's during the day and high 40's to mid 50's during the night. There is more than enough towels, washcloths, bedding, etc - DON'T take any with you. Also, I would STRONGLY suggest not taking any condiments of any kind. I would wait until you have a chance to check out the kitchen as there was every kind of spices, olive oil, ketchup, mustard, butter, napkins, silverware, etc., etc. that anyone could possibly need. If by chance there isn't something you use in the kitchen regularly, the Safeway store is only a mile or so away. The owner, Cindy, is extremely helpful no matter what you need. All-in-all, I would definitely give this property a 5+ star review!! Don't hesitate booking this property and ENJOY it when you get there!"

  • Perfect getaway cabin!

"A very well-appointed cabin in a nice location near Winter Park and other ski areas - just off Route 40. Everything was as advertised, and communications with the owner were easy and complete. Hot tub was very nice, and only issue was that it was a bit cloudy so we could not see as many stars as I would have liked. Perfect for a relaxing getaway."
