  • A Winter Park Wonder

"An ideal family apartment well situated for easy access to both Winter Park ski resort and town. The half-hourly shuttle was superb, our kids measured that it was 56 paces from the front door to the shuttle stop. We ended up using the car mainly to store the ski’s in overnight and the run to the Safeway in Fraser (5-mins away). At the weekend, the Beaver Village Condominium’s shuttle ran additional services to the base of the mountain. We couldn’t really fault the apartment. It is exactly as it is shown in the photos and it is very well equipped. There was plenty of space for the 4 of us (and for the 8 of us when our friends from Fort Collins came to join us for the weekend). Importantly, it was warm and there was a good supply of hot water for showers, despite my daughters doing her best to empty the hot water tank while she sang her heart out to whatever is supposed to be popular music today. We visited the restaurants of Winter Park every other night. I don’t know whether it was because we stood out because we were English but absolutely everybody we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. On the other nights, we cooked in the apartment, the kitchen had all that we needed to cater for the 8 of us. When it was just the 4 of us there was enough crockery and cutlery that we only needed to turn the dishwasher on a couple of times during our stay. The laundry room in the club house was handy (and relatively cheap). It was quite handy to disappear from the kids for an hour or so, sprawl out on the sofa’s in the laundry room and read a book, while our smalls were being refreshed. Despite being the peak season, we always managed to get a hot tub to ourselves each time we visited the clubhouse. The BVC DVD collection was very extensive which we took full advantage of. (Our Après Ski evenings consisted of snuggling up on the sofa, watching movies and eating ice cream straight from the tub. We’ve have had a superb relationship with the owners since the very first contact regarding the apartment in Jul 15. (I’ve had less contact with close members of family over the last year.) Every query we had was answered promptly and the information provided was very reliable. I would return to this apartment in an instant. However I guess it’s going to take a while to save enough cash to cover the airfares, lift passes and ski hire again so it’ll be a while before we return. In the meantime I’m more than happy to recommend this apartment to others."

  • Second stay as good as the first

"Our family and another family stayed over Spring Break 2016. Four adults, six kiddos, and it was a great stay. The home is not brand new, but is great based on price, location, and comfort. Snow plow hit the driveway each morning during our snow storms. Actually, travel to the mountain was a non-event as we caught the shuttle just up the driveway to the ski hill each morning. And, the kids loved the hot tub every evening. The house is maybe a mile or two off Main Street and allows you to feel secluded in the woods. But the best plus, the owner, super nice folks and just a joy to work with. If going to Winter Park with a group, Greg and Denny Brock will be our first contact! Thanks for another great stay!!!"

  • Tidy and convenient

"Great location right on the river, with pathway nearby. Walking distance to coffee and a few restaurants. We enjoyed our short stay."

  • Enjoyed Our Stay

"The condo itself was very nice and comfortable; it was just the right size for 2 people. The owners keep the place clean and inviting and respond to any questions you have in a timely manner. Read the bulletin board in the kitchen, lots of notes that helped. We do wish it had an outside grill as we stayed in the summer and love to cook outside. The condo association is a little on the scary side. We wanted to jump into the hot tub after a day of hiking but decided against that real fast, went to the club house and it was completely empty, no furniture, desk or anything, it looked like a ghost town. We walked about the place and saw a pool and hot tub on the bottom floor, but it was really not inviting at all. You could tell nobody really cared about that place and it wasn’t kept up very well. All in all condo was great, but amenities not so much, overall a 4 star rating."
