  • Wonderful home

"My family of 6 rented the Dusty Rose for our week long stay in Cripple Creek, Co. The home was perfect for our needs. Centrally located to area sight seeing opportunities, near to downtown, but not so close to be bothersome and excellent amenities! The owners were very accommodating as well. We had two vehicles, one of which was a truck camper and 2 trailers. We asked in advance and the owners were fine with us parking all of them on the property. The home was supplied with linens and towels as well as dishes and pots n pans. Having access to a washer and dryer was a huge plus! The hot tub was well kept, clean and the perfect temperature! We were in the hot tub within 30 minutes of our arrival. There is a guest book in the home that was fun to read and to add to. By reviewing the guest book, we obtained some good ideas for places to dine. At one point, we locked ourselves out of the house and the neighbors - who are also the care takers - were kind enough to let us in. Our stay at the Dusty Rose was our first vacation rental, but will not be our last! The price and convenience of a vacation rental is so much better than staying at a hotel. Having access to a kitchen ensures that a wonderful vacation will not be a budget buster! The entire process, from booking to check out - including a myriad of questions from me (I'm a bit of a control freak) was easy and smooth. Lauren answered all of my questions and never once seemed bothered. I cannot recommend this home - or owners - enough!"

  • Perfection!

"My boyfriend, our dog, and I enjoyed a short two days in the cabin. It provided everything as promised and the seclusion was on point! Loved the short hike out back to a beautiful view. The road was nowhere near as bad as it was made out to be in prior reviews. This was the exact getaway we were envisioning. Thanks for the hospitality and we will definitley be planning more (longer!) trips in the future. Lastly, I highly recommend the Music Pass Trail in Westcliffe! Gorgeous!"

  • Beautiful and relaxing

"My family really enjoyed our stay. The scenery was beautiful and the owners were friendly. Even though their house was extremely close to the rental, they truly respect your privacy. There were great hiking paths very close to the property. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the long drive to civilization. The cabin truly is secluded which is great when you want a get away, but you do have to drive 45 to an hour for activities such as rafting. Overall, very pleased and would refer friends and family."
