  • Ideal, but...

"Ideal group property (we had 10 family members, 4 couples, will easily accomodate more.). Conveniently located near all the major points of interest. Beautiful, private setting. We loved watching the sunrise (Yes, we'd get up early, it was that great!) over Colorado Springs and the lights flickering off as daylight arrived. In the evening we'd watch as darkness fell and the jewel like lights came on again. Really nice from the hot tubs. You will enjoy this place, but a few matters need updating / correcting. Very well equipped except only one washcloth per bathroom. We bought extras. You may only access the hot tubs by going through someone's bedroom. The hot tubs are located on balconies off of the two master bedrooms. Outside access is needed and the balcony railings need to be reinforced. The TVs are restricted to 14 and under to prevent charging pay for view items to the property. There is a better way to do this. The A/C needs to be balanced. Two units, it's hot upstairs and cold downstairs. Some plumbing is suspect, drains slowly and needs to be plunged. Hand holds are needed at the many step up / step downs. Bottom line, would we rent this property again? Absolutely! Our likes are many, our "gripes" are few."

  • Charming Little Home Away From Home

"We are beginning our last week (of 7 weeks) here and I can honestly say that we had one of the most wonderful summers! While this is an older home, it has been kept in decent condition and feels comfortable and safe. Upon arrival, it was clean and welcoming. The outdoors area was also clean and well-manicured. Any cleaning supplies we needed (as our stay is nearly two months) were provided. Lori even went as far as dropping by her personal vacuum cleaner when the one in-unit needed a replacement bag. Lori was an absolute pleasure to have as a landlord. She was very attentive and accommodating to our needs. She was always available to us via text, e-mail, phone, and in-person, but was also very considerate of our privacy. She definitely went out of her way to ensure we felt at home while staying in her house and she succeeded because we don't want to leave! The house is absolutely adorable! It's small and intimate, making it ideal for couples, but is still large enough to accommodate company for a weekend. (We were able to have two guests sleep in the guest room while two others slept on the pull-out sofa). Both bedrooms are small, but are still large enough to enjoy and provide ample storage. The living space isn't huge, but the outdoors living space certainly makes up for that! My fiance worked from his laptop outside nearly every day and the enclosed backyard was thoroughly enjoyed by our pup. The washer and dryer are located in the basement (which is only accessible through an outside cellar door), but this feature did not pose a problem to us at all. The washer and dryer both worked well, but we discovered that the timed setting was the most effective drying option and would recommend that to future guests. The location of the house was especially convenient. We have our own car, but we took advantage of the beautiful weather and actually elected to walk to Safeway, Walgreens, Edelweiss, and several other nearby establishments. (It was about a 10-15 minute walk to most of the stores). In addition to shopping, there is an abundance of nature areas to enjoy. Stratton Open Space is less than a 10 minute drive, while Red Rocks, 7 Bridges, 7 Falls, and Garden of the Gods (to name only a few) are all less than 20 minutes away. If biking, hiking, or running are on your agenda, then you'll definitely get your fix of that here! Overall, we would highly recommend this house as a home away from home."

  • Wonderful!!!

"The pictures on the website do not show how much S P A C E this place has!! We have 4 kids ages 11, 12, 12, and 14 and this was our first "real" family vacation. We will never be able to stay in a hotel room again! Joanne was wonderful to work with she was full of local information and was flexible with our driving schedule. The location was perfect close to several attractions and downtown. The multiple bathrooms enabled everyone to get ready simultaneously and the kitchen/grill/firepit saved us a ton of money on restaurants! We would definitely stay here again."
