"We had a wedding in Colorado Springs and used this VRBO for our out of town family. It worked out great and was a comfortable place to hang out and visit. It was located with easy access to the highway so they could do some sightseeing while in town. We loved the large kitchen area that we could visit in,yet there were other areas available for those who wanted to play games. People that wanted to were able to walk to nearby restaurants to grab a bite to eat and one of the bedrooms was perfect for those unable to do stairs. Would definitely recommend!"

  • Huge, elegant, private

"We had a great stay for my brothers bachelor party. The property was clean and comfortable. The management made it very easy to access and wee extremely responsive to questions. Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful home or location. Thanks for the memories!"

  • As good as advertised.

"The property was a very nice turn of the century home. House was well outfitted to meet all our needs. This house would be a five star if not for a few minor details. The master bedroom's window A/C unit was not blowing cold air in the 90+ days. This only affected us because our baby slept in there during the day. Due to the angle of the driveway, our party sustained minor damage to two vehicles trying to avoid the busy street side parking. We had to run and exchange a propane tank while bbq'ing because the main & spare tanks were empty. Lastly, although Mr. Patrick (owner) is very friendly, it was a bit offsetting to have him there (using garage as wood shop) from time to time while using the outdoor kitchen. Oh, and as a firefighter (with bachelors in Occupational Safety & Health) I must say the hindrance of paddle locked doors that left only one means of egress on main level, was a bit unnerving."

  • Private and Quiet

"Our family of 4 (including two teen boys) stayed at Mark's quaint carriage house 3 nights. Great experience! Even though you're in a residential neighborhood, we never heard any neighbors and the layout is extremely private. Easy, ample parking. Deer were right outside the kitchen window every morning. This little home lives big due to there being two stories, and it's well-stocked/equipped. Mark and his son Chris (who filled in when Mark was away) were both a pleasure to deal with. Couldn't get the DVD player to work, and it was fixed immediately after a phone call. Chris was spot-on with his recommendations for good, casual, family restaurants----both Front Range Barbecue (Southern BBQ with a great vibe-about 12 minutes away in Old Colorado City) and Panino's nearby for Italian. We already knew about Jake and Telly's (Greek) in Old Colorado City and had a great "date night" one night. (Their sauteed calamari is a must try!) We enjoyed the close proximity to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, hiking in Stratton Open Space, and taking a tour of historic Glen Eyrie Castle. Only downside was the master bedroom has a curtain instead of a solid door to close for privacy, but it really wasn't an issue for us. I actually liked the curtain! The side garden must be stunning in summer!"
