  • Lovely kid and dog friendly home

"This house was simply fabulous and beautifully decorated. There's ample room to sleep at least 12 people, the kitchen is perfect for entertaining and cooking for a crowd. The two custom bathrooms are lovely, each with deep soaking tubs, separate showers, and large sinks. The house is in Crestone proper and is a five minute walk to two adequate grocery stores, a few lunch options, a new brewery that serves an acceptable dinner and even ice cream. You can hike out the back door without getting in your car, and we were visited daily by large herds of white-tailed deer. We loved sleeping with the windows open, feeling the cool breeze, listening to the gurgling stream, and waking up to the sunrise turning Challenger Peak rosy. I appreciate that the owners don't barrage you with a list of house rules and simply expect that you will leave the house as pristine as you found it. I would recommend arriving during daylight as the street signs are small and Google maps is not reliable. And thank goodness for the home's WiFi, because Virgin Mobile had absolutely zero reception in Crestone (though my husband has AT&T and had perfect reception). Thanks again for a wonderful stay!"

  • Comfy Cabin

"Our family had a wonderful time at The Homestead! So many things to do in the area, we couldn't get to them all. The cabin was comfy, clean and we loved the decorations. Deer came to visit several times and will eat from your hand. We would definitely love to stay here again."

  • very peaceful!

"Our stay in the cabin was wonderful. Most surprising were the variety of birds that found a haven within the Aspen grove, they provided endless entertainment and peacefulness."

  • Loved our stay in Monarch

"This cabin was the perfect distance to Monarch Mountain. Very easy to get to, with all of the essentials and then some! We felt right at home in this cabin. Everything the listing describes was accurate - and I was more than impressed with the customer service! Would definitely recommend the cabin to others and would stay here again!"
