  • Lovely kid and dog friendly home

"This house was simply fabulous and beautifully decorated. There's ample room to sleep at least 12 people, the kitchen is perfect for entertaining and cooking for a crowd. The two custom bathrooms are lovely, each with deep soaking tubs, separate showers, and large sinks. The house is in Crestone proper and is a five minute walk to two adequate grocery stores, a few lunch options, a new brewery that serves an acceptable dinner and even ice cream. You can hike out the back door without getting in your car, and we were visited daily by large herds of white-tailed deer. We loved sleeping with the windows open, feeling the cool breeze, listening to the gurgling stream, and waking up to the sunrise turning Challenger Peak rosy. I appreciate that the owners don't barrage you with a list of house rules and simply expect that you will leave the house as pristine as you found it. I would recommend arriving during daylight as the street signs are small and Google maps is not reliable. And thank goodness for the home's WiFi, because Virgin Mobile had absolutely zero reception in Crestone (though my husband has AT&T and had perfect reception). Thanks again for a wonderful stay!"

  • Wonderful Place - Unfortunately not ideal for a bigger group

"We had a marvelous stay at the house. The garden is wonderful especially if you come with smaller kids. It is fenced in. The kitchen is beautiful and we were able to comfortably sit with 7 people. I think this house is ideal if you travel with a family of 4 or less though. There is not much privacy inside the house. None of the bedrooms have doors and the downstairs bedroom only accommodates one person plus it is not suited for smaller kids (2 years or younger). The stair case leading downstairs is very steep and narrow. We were 7 guests, two adults slept in the living room on the pull out couch (which is right next to the bathroom), so zero privacy for them. Thank you."

  • Wonderful!

"We had a wonderful and relaxing experience in Michelle's home. It was perfect for us (parents with two teens)--the location is beautiful, the layout of the house works well for families, and the view from each deck is superb (sunset from one, star gazing from the other). Directions to find the house were easy to follow and the house was very clean. I was pleased and surprised to find that the little market in town was still open on Sunday evening (around 7 pm) when I discovered I had forgotten a few food items that I wanted to have to make dinner. The kitchen has everything you need. We had a great stay."
