  • Cozy cabin in beautiful, peaceful surroundings; perfect for a couple

"We spent ten days in this nice little cabin in Green Mountain Falls in October. It was our first vacation in Colorado and we loved everything about it! The cabin is very cozy and has everything you need for a pleasant vacation. We loved the deck (unfortunately, it faces to the north, so you don't get too much sunshine - which is nice in summer, but not in October! ;-) and the Hollywood swing. The cabin is nicely furnished (loved the leather recliner chair!!) and is perfect for a couple. Although it sleeps theoretically up to 6 people, we would not recommend it for more than 2 adults and 2 childs max. We could have used a little more dishes and glasses, but that is not a big deal. The mattress in the master bed room is super comfortable and so is the sofa in the living room. We especially liked the fact that the cabin was well equipped with things like toilet paper, hand soap, detergents and even spices, sugar, alu foil etc. It really helps if you do not have to buy all these things at the start of your vacation. - The surroundings of Borelli no. 2 are really nice. It is perfectly quiet and lets you wind down totally from stressful everyday life. Green Mountain Falls is a nice little town, and there is a lot to do and see in the area. We went up to Pikes Peak, visited the Garden of the Gods, Mueller State Park, Florissant Fossil Beds, and also took a trip to the Royal Gorge bridge, all of which is relatively close to GMF. We would definitely recommend this cabin to friends and would also consider coming back for another great Colorado vacation! After we left, our deposit was refunded promptly within 10 days, so there is really nothing to complain about!"

  • Wonderful!!!

"The pictures on the website do not show how much S P A C E this place has!! We have 4 kids ages 11, 12, 12, and 14 and this was our first "real" family vacation. We will never be able to stay in a hotel room again! Joanne was wonderful to work with she was full of local information and was flexible with our driving schedule. The location was perfect close to several attractions and downtown. The multiple bathrooms enabled everyone to get ready simultaneously and the kitchen/grill/firepit saved us a ton of money on restaurants! We would definitely stay here again."

  • Lovely location & well-appointed cabin

"We had a really lovely time staying at this mountain home! LOCATION: Near Divide, Colorado, it was 'in the middle' of all of the area activities we were wanting to do & we enjoyed returning each day to a quiet place in a serene setting & the ability to cook our own meals & pack our own picnics, thus saving a lot of money & time from restaurants! PROPERTY: This property was very clean & well maintained & organized! The cabin itself is very nicely laid out with 2 bedrooms (1 double/1 king), living, bath (shower/toilet/sink), and kitchen/dining on the lower floor. The upper floor has a large bedroom with a double & 2 twin beds in it & a little loft with love seat & bookshelf full of games. Not sure the Pikes Peak view is still quite so clear from the deck. FURNISHINGS: It was nice to see someone didn't just throw in their leftovers or head to Walmart to furnish this property! Although some of the bed linens & pillows could use replacing, there was a lovely supply of quilts, towels, dish towels, etc, all in good condition. The kitchen was well-appointed, with nice pots & utensils, although a medium sized skillet would've been nice & one of the large ones was very scratched up. There were no larger mixing bowls...only a small one. There were your basic salt & pepper, coffee filters, and plastic wrap, Al foil, etc left likely from others. We added wooden spoons because most utensils were plastic & not good for high heat cooking & a set of measuring cups, because what was there was incomplete. But there were a lot of things in the cabinets, like crock pots, hand mixer, blender, etc that some might find useful...although it's possible they're just taking up space! There wasn't a lot of cabinet space, though, to put your own food when you arrived...we rearranged to help with this a bit. It would be nice if all the dinnerware matched to make it easier to retrieve & store....and something with not such deep cereal bowls! Why we didn't rate it 5 stars: The condition/need for items mentioned above (linens needing replacement, some minor kitchen things) and the fact that the den area only has seating space for 4. The seals on the large windows that look from the den into the forest are broken, so much of the time there was condensate covering about 1/4 of the lower windows, obstructing the view. Even in this case, we would still recommend this property to others looking at this area & consider it ourselves should we return to this area."
