  • Loved it!

"We had a great stay at the Heavenly Hideaway! The view of the mountains is beautiful and the morning sunrises are gorgeous! We would definitely stay again, no issues came up at all. Thank you for allowing us to make memories in your beautiful cabin."

  • Location is unbeatable

"Kids loved exploring the 5 acres of property. Wildlife was amazing with chipmunks and deer. The cabin itself was extremely well put together and had everything a family could ever want. Loved how remote the cabin was and how you felt like you were in a completely different world. Perfect vacation get away!"

  • Lovely location & well-appointed cabin

"We had a really lovely time staying at this mountain home! LOCATION: Near Divide, Colorado, it was 'in the middle' of all of the area activities we were wanting to do & we enjoyed returning each day to a quiet place in a serene setting & the ability to cook our own meals & pack our own picnics, thus saving a lot of money & time from restaurants! PROPERTY: This property was very clean & well maintained & organized! The cabin itself is very nicely laid out with 2 bedrooms (1 double/1 king), living, bath (shower/toilet/sink), and kitchen/dining on the lower floor. The upper floor has a large bedroom with a double & 2 twin beds in it & a little loft with love seat & bookshelf full of games. Not sure the Pikes Peak view is still quite so clear from the deck. FURNISHINGS: It was nice to see someone didn't just throw in their leftovers or head to Walmart to furnish this property! Although some of the bed linens & pillows could use replacing, there was a lovely supply of quilts, towels, dish towels, etc, all in good condition. The kitchen was well-appointed, with nice pots & utensils, although a medium sized skillet would've been nice & one of the large ones was very scratched up. There were no larger mixing bowls...only a small one. There were your basic salt & pepper, coffee filters, and plastic wrap, Al foil, etc left likely from others. We added wooden spoons because most utensils were plastic & not good for high heat cooking & a set of measuring cups, because what was there was incomplete. But there were a lot of things in the cabinets, like crock pots, hand mixer, blender, etc that some might find useful...although it's possible they're just taking up space! There wasn't a lot of cabinet space, though, to put your own food when you arrived...we rearranged to help with this a bit. It would be nice if all the dinnerware matched to make it easier to retrieve & store....and something with not such deep cereal bowls! Why we didn't rate it 5 stars: The condition/need for items mentioned above (linens needing replacement, some minor kitchen things) and the fact that the den area only has seating space for 4. The seals on the large windows that look from the den into the forest are broken, so much of the time there was condensate covering about 1/4 of the lower windows, obstructing the view. Even in this case, we would still recommend this property to others looking at this area & consider it ourselves should we return to this area."

  • What a Lovely Escape

"I say escape because we did not leave your cabin except to hike our entire stay. Beaver Lodge was so comfortable and relaxing. We sat on the back patio a lot of our time and watched the birds and chipmunks. We did hike and enjoyed the beauty that surrounded us.Passed time counting one dollar bills and including a new one in your beautiful home. Having my own cleaning business I tend to be more of a critic, but I loved how clean it was. Although we live in the Springs it was a nice getaway for a few days. My husband and I were quite sad to leave! We celebrated 27 years, but more important we celebrated life in your home. Our daughter just completed chemo, radiation and several surgeries. She is now cancer free and I can not even begin to say what your home meant to us. To be able to set out on your deck, make faces and laugh out loud was so grand!!! Kyle you were so pleasant and Brad and Laura thank you. Bless each of you! Tammy"
