  • Perfect Vacation! 3 Families with kids

"This lodge was absolutely great! It's a ways away from Fairplay, which was just what we wanted! It's only 10-15 minutes to get to Fairplay, and about 45 minutes to get to Breckenridge. The location was nice and quiet, and very beautiful! The views from the deck are wonderful. There is so much room in the lodge that you won't feel like you're crowded. The kitchen is stocked well, the fireplace was easy to work, and the hot tub was one of our favorites! Heather was extremely helpful and very accommodating for our stay. This really could not have been any better. Thank you very much for renting us your cabin, Heather!"

  • Great Family Get Away

"The Willis retreat is the perfect family get away for anyone looking for adventure and off-the-grid down time. First of all we want to say that Randy is by far the best person we have ever rented from on VRBO (rented from at least 12 people over the years). Randy gave such detailed information before our arrival, checked in on us when we were there, and left a great packet of information to review to help us settle in. Next the property itself is great. It has 4 bedrooms so my wife and I got a room and both kids had a room. The cabin is big but cozy. We loved the fire place, the well-stocked kitchen, the hot-tub out back, and my son and I took advantage of the huge driveway to play catch. My son probably loved this placed the most as there is a PS3 and a WII and he loved the "secret" room that allowed him to get away for a while. The cabin is also in a great location close to some nice towns, great hiking, and we also were very close to outdoor climbing and white water rafting. Also we traveled with our dogs and the fenced in backyard made life very easy. I have nothing but great things to say about our stay, we would come back in a heart beat. And one more time I want to express how great Randy was and how all the info he gave us helped make our trip a great success. Cannot wait to come back!"

  • Spacious mountain cabin in a beautiful setting

"We had 2 families with young children stay at this cabin and everyone had a wonderful time. The cabin is surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery and the children spent almost all their time playing outside when we were at the cabin. The property was well stocked and clean, and we ended up making all our meals there instead of ordering out or going out to eat. I would highly recommend this property for anyone wanting a quiet getaway or those with children. The only thing I would like to warn others about (especially those not from a mountainous area) is to prepare for altitude sickness. We all had vague, mild symptoms, but that should be expected almost anywhere in this area."

  • Beautiful property and spacious home

"This is an ideal place for a group of people that want a few common areas as well as beds for everyone. It's unpretentious and comfortable and we all felt immediately at home. The grounds had so much to offer (we played capture the flag, night sardines, volleyball and croquet golf.) it was perfect!"
