  • Perfect Vacation! 3 Families with kids

"This lodge was absolutely great! It's a ways away from Fairplay, which was just what we wanted! It's only 10-15 minutes to get to Fairplay, and about 45 minutes to get to Breckenridge. The location was nice and quiet, and very beautiful! The views from the deck are wonderful. There is so much room in the lodge that you won't feel like you're crowded. The kitchen is stocked well, the fireplace was easy to work, and the hot tub was one of our favorites! Heather was extremely helpful and very accommodating for our stay. This really could not have been any better. Thank you very much for renting us your cabin, Heather!"

  • Great accommodations at the Cozy Burro

"This is the third summer that our Board has chosen to use the Cozy Burro for our annual retreat. We work in the mornings, take walks and enjoy the surrounding area parts of the day, and enjoy watching a film together in the evenings. There are eight of us, and the Cozy Burro is the perfect size for us. It is quiet, but it is close to the restaurants in town, since we like to have one evening free from cooking. Each year, we all agree that it will be the Cozy Burro for us again next year! Lara Newton C.G. Jung Institute of Colorado"

  • Quiet, private, mountain wildlife

"My family of four stayed at Aspen Vista for a week to enjoy the sights in Colorado, and take in the Burro Days festival in Fairplay. We got to see llama racing!! The cabin itself was comfortable and well stocked for basics that made cooking with what was available at the Prathers grocery store in town easy. The field behind the cabin is wonderfully peaceful, and my husband and I enjoyed the sunsets from a few convenient stumps. The kids enjoyed exploring the field and looking for animal sign. We did see elk one evening, and heard the coyotes singing at night. There's also a very curious hummingbird that visited the deck several times while we were enjoying the sunshine. The cabin isn't unbearably far from Pikes Peak, the Garden of the Gods, etc, and the town of Fairplay itself was a lot of fun. We're dreaming of moving to Colorado after our stay."
