  • Serene, picturesque cabin.

"This cabin is absolutely amazing. Simple, yet a perfect home away from home getaway. If you need a place to recharge and relax you will not be disappointed. So much to do and see within a short distance. We can't wait to return!! Thank you so much for sharing your "cozy cabin"."

  • Too high for us flatlanders

"To high for comfort ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place but definitely off the beaten path. Beautiful home and great views, but be vary cautious if you are a flat lander. This cabin is at 10,665 ft. My wife may dog and myself all got altitude sickness. We were so bad that we left after 3 days and had to go down to Denver. I wish this was stated in the info. We go to this area about once or twice a year staying between 9,000 and 10,000. That extra 600 made a big difference. The other issue we had was with the management company. It was stated on the contract that " We are not responsible for issues with your vehicle or the snow but only for making sure the snowplower plows the driveway( this may not be immediate but he will come)" This did not happen. When we arrived there was 5-6 inches on the sloping drive with a large snowdrift in front of the only open garage space and covering the walkway to the front door. We called but no one came. What we found out was the contract ran out with the person doing the plowing and the management company did not want to deal with it."

  • Base camp

"The Willis retreat is the perfect base camp for exploring the area. We hiked many trails and visited the surronding towns of Alma, Fairplay and Beckenridge. Unseasonable weather brought rain, sleet, hail and snow to the surrounding peaks. Low temps in the 30's made the wood burning stove nice! We really appriciated the fact that we could use the DVD player, we rent properties all over and can never use the DVD player! I know I am digitally illiterate... The dart board was entertaining as well. Kona loved the yard."

  • Great accommodations at the Cozy Burro

"This is the third summer that our Board has chosen to use the Cozy Burro for our annual retreat. We work in the mornings, take walks and enjoy the surrounding area parts of the day, and enjoy watching a film together in the evenings. There are eight of us, and the Cozy Burro is the perfect size for us. It is quiet, but it is close to the restaurants in town, since we like to have one evening free from cooking. Each year, we all agree that it will be the Cozy Burro for us again next year! Lara Newton C.G. Jung Institute of Colorado"
