  • A Little Piece of Heaven!

"I have been summering in Green Mtn. Falls for 62 years at our family place and then at various rentals in the area. This year was my first to spend 2 weeks by myself and it was heavenly. Had other family staying in GMF and we spent many mornings and evenings on the wonderful porch, watching the grandchildren play on the swings, slide and fort. The cabin was perfect and I felt very safe there...just wish there were some cell phone reception so I could have talked with my husband back home! The handyman showed up while I was there and said he really needed to make some repairs on the outside railings around the stairways, so I expect he will do so before my next visit. Yes, I hope to return, it couldn't have been a nicer place to relax and be with family."

  • FANTASTIC STAY!

"My husband and our three children stayed for two nights at Buffalo Sunrise Lodge. The house is spacious, well-kept and lovely; included two bedrooms, two full baths, washer and dryer and a kitchen with anything you may need. The deck on the front of the house was perfect any time of the day and overlooks the lake/gazebo in Green Mountain Falls. The town of Green Mountain Falls is a little village and is incredibly charming and friendly. We enjoyed eating at the Pantry (delicious breakfast!) and the Blue Moose for live music and dinner just a short walk down from the house. We also hiked from the house to two nearby waterfalls and the view from the top was amazing! Couldn't have asked for a better family vacation, and we hope to come again to Buffalo Sunrise Lodge! Would recommend for families or a girls/guys trip to anyone. Nan was friendly and responsive - everything we needed was provided to us in the home. Thank you!"

  • Great adventure for kids and dogs

"We had two families there; 4 adults and 6 kids (ages 7 - 15), plus 3 dogs (2 stayed in the garage/stable). The best feature for us was the large acreage, with interesting terrain (trees, hills & valleys), a creek with beaver pond, various trails, and the stone fort. The kids made up an imaginative game involving pirates and gold mines, and had a great time! The adults enjoyed the scenery (first-rate), the picnic tables, grilling, horseshoes, and the tired kids. Very relaxing and a lot of fun. The cabin is well furnished and comfortable. The owners were very helpful and available, though we didn't need anything. We recommend it highly, especially for people with kids who want some outdoor adventure without roughing it!"

  • Great house for our family of 6!

"The Mountain Hacienda was a perfect spot to wrap up our Colorado vacation. It was clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. We visited Garden of the Gods on our way up, then drove to Noah's Ark Whitewater Rafting near Buena Vista the next day (highly recommend if rafting - 1.5 hour scenic drive away). Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer to explore around Green Mountain Falls area, but it will be at the top of our list the next time we come."
