  • Wonderful vacation stay

"The Buffalo Sunrise Lodge was a perfect place for a lady friend vacation. Nan the owner is very social and extremely helpful. The place was clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with what you would need for cooking."

  • Great Experience!

"My wife and I came up for a week of hiking and running in the Pikes Peak region. We have stayed at many places, but we both agree that we enjoyed this stay at the Carriage House better than any and it is now one of our favorite places. We hope to come again. Mr. and Ms. Buckley made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. It was extremely peaceful and the view from the balcony of Pikes Peak, the Catamount area, and the Buckley ranch were second to none. I spent a great deal of my early mornings and late evenings on the balcony. We highly recommend this wonderful place, especially to couples who want to get away for a while. SS"

  • Perfect getaway!

"What a great little cabin. It provided a perfect setting to get away without kids for a few days. It is within walking distance of the lake and restaurants. The cabin has a great deck to enjoy the Colorado weather! The property manager is awesome! She worked very hard to make sure the cabin was ready with very little notice. We will be back!"

  • This is a nice central location to see everything around Co.Springs - -all within about 15 minutes

"We were very impressed with the care taken to fully stock the house with all things needed to 'set up' housekeeping. The kitchen is fully prepared to cook in - a welcome surprise. Plenty of towels and such as well. The king sized bed was nice. And whadayaknow - TVs that actually work in every room. The house itself is in a group of 5 or six houses surrounding it up an alleyway but that didn't bother us one bit. Overall had not one complaint. I could only suggest some care be taken to smooth out the sliding glass door operation to the patio and maybe a small landing be placed at the patio entryway since the step down is a bit tall for old folks like us :)! A New patio umbrella might be nice too as the old one was hopeless. The A/C was a welcome add in as it was a bit hot during the days we were there ( end of June). The house is dog friendly of course and our little chihuahua was perfectly at home. Take you pets for a walk at the one block away green space. This is a great location to get to all things within the city for dinners and such ( Kings Chef diner not to be missed for the huge breakfast burrito-bring cash ) Brother Lucks is good as well. Try out the BBQ and live music in Old Colorado City. Of course the funky town of Manitou Springs is 10 minutes away. Lots of outdoor hiking available and scenery worthy of a postcard abound if one wants to venture forth as we did. Hint: Book tickets up the cog railway to the top of Pikes Peak well in advance. Thanks Mark for the cool place to stay!"
