  • Charming Little Home Away From Home

"We are beginning our last week (of 7 weeks) here and I can honestly say that we had one of the most wonderful summers! While this is an older home, it has been kept in decent condition and feels comfortable and safe. Upon arrival, it was clean and welcoming. The outdoors area was also clean and well-manicured. Any cleaning supplies we needed (as our stay is nearly two months) were provided. Lori even went as far as dropping by her personal vacuum cleaner when the one in-unit needed a replacement bag. Lori was an absolute pleasure to have as a landlord. She was very attentive and accommodating to our needs. She was always available to us via text, e-mail, phone, and in-person, but was also very considerate of our privacy. She definitely went out of her way to ensure we felt at home while staying in her house and she succeeded because we don't want to leave! The house is absolutely adorable! It's small and intimate, making it ideal for couples, but is still large enough to accommodate company for a weekend. (We were able to have two guests sleep in the guest room while two others slept on the pull-out sofa). Both bedrooms are small, but are still large enough to enjoy and provide ample storage. The living space isn't huge, but the outdoors living space certainly makes up for that! My fiance worked from his laptop outside nearly every day and the enclosed backyard was thoroughly enjoyed by our pup. The washer and dryer are located in the basement (which is only accessible through an outside cellar door), but this feature did not pose a problem to us at all. The washer and dryer both worked well, but we discovered that the timed setting was the most effective drying option and would recommend that to future guests. The location of the house was especially convenient. We have our own car, but we took advantage of the beautiful weather and actually elected to walk to Safeway, Walgreens, Edelweiss, and several other nearby establishments. (It was about a 10-15 minute walk to most of the stores). In addition to shopping, there is an abundance of nature areas to enjoy. Stratton Open Space is less than a 10 minute drive, while Red Rocks, 7 Bridges, 7 Falls, and Garden of the Gods (to name only a few) are all less than 20 minutes away. If biking, hiking, or running are on your agenda, then you'll definitely get your fix of that here! Overall, we would highly recommend this house as a home away from home."

  • Blessed time with our family. Beautiful home.

"Vacation of a lifetime for our family. The beautiful mountains surrounded us. We woke up to the view of Pike's Peak every morning. The cooler temperatures were perfect. Woodland Park was close by to eat at the Hungry Bear! Close to Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, Pike's Peak Cog Railway and much more. We played, laughed and worshipped Jesus as a family. There were 10 of us and we all had so much room. THe playground area and fire pit and patio with grills were perfect for our family with children. The game room added activity for pool, ping pong, jacuzzi. outside we played volleyball, badmitten, basketball and jungle gym. It is the best vacation our family experienced in a lifetime. We highly recommend it. We stayed for a week and will be coming back."

  • Great place for a Family Vacation

"The Cottage was quaint and just perfect for our family of four. It was close enough to main street that we could easily drive down and walk around in the evenings. It was a great base location for all the activities in the area that we wanted to do. The views were beautiful and my daughter was thrilled that the corral was just a short walk away as she loved visiting the horse. My kids are asking when we can stay there again and I would recommend this rental to anyone looking to vacation in the Colorado Springs area."

  • Wonderful cottage

"My family of 4 (small children and older dog) stayed here and cannot say what a wonderful experience we had. The location of the cabin is unbeatable. Out behind the cabin is a wonderful hiking trail with amazing views not to mention the proximity to the Manitou Incline trail that is within walking distance as well. Miramont Castle is right around the corner and it is within easy walking distance to downtown Manitou Springs. Every night, our family would walk to dinner which was such a peaceful experience. We hiked the Incline, the Intemann trail, and visited the castle. Every morning we would eat breakfast outside, play cards on the comfortable porch couch. The cottage is tiny but in the best way! Very clean with a nice modern bathroom, pictures should really be included as it is a very nice bathroom. The bed was very firm but they nicely provided a waffle mattress pad which helped alot. The sofa bed was definitely in need of being replaced soon but my kids didn't complain at all. Very nice kitchen and cozy atmosphere. Definitely stay here if you want a clean, adorable cottage with great location and great views."
