  • Great venue for our Family Reunion

"Our family just finished our 6 days - 5 nights at the Walton Mountain Lodge; we had the lodge and the cottage to accommodate 26 of us! It was perfect and the Walton's were great and gracious hosts - they left us alone and we only saw them when we had questions. The lodge kitchen was well supplied and had everything we needed including large cookware and plenty of dishes to handle our large group. We were very happy with the situation; all our needs were met. We gathered and BBQed on the deck, WIFI was sufficient for work-at-home folks, everything was clean, enough beds for everyone, and we never ran out of hot water for showers!! 'Not sure about the large TV - we never turned it on! The Manitou Springs area offers so many opportunities; our group did horseback riding and archery, an ATV trip at Lone Duck Campground; The Incline, Pikes Peak, Cave of the Winds, Garden of the Gods, Cave Dwellings, Zip Lining, golfing, hiking, fishing at Spinney Reservoir, antiquing and more. It was perfect for us!"

  • An enjoyable relaxed stay in a fun little town

"Our family arrived on a Tuesday and stayed through Saturday night. Our host was very nice and accommodating. The house is quite nice being a Victorian style. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. The house is very spacious with plenty of room for our 13 people. We especially loved being close to downtown Manitou. It was a short walk to lot of shops and restaurants. My children who are all grown and my two grandchildren loved the back yard. It is very large with lots of room to throw baseballs and have various activities. We had a fire one night in the fire pit which was enjoyable . We have stayed places with pages of rules that are very stressful to keep ,making for constant concern about doing something that will cause you to lose your deposit. That was not the case here. There was a minimal list of rules. We really enjoyed the stay and would recommend this property to families ."

  • Nice place

"My husband and I rented the lodge and cottage together for our big family. It worked very well. The cottage provided a quiet place for Grandpa and Grandma to stay. The grandkids could visit and some even spent a night with us. It was an easy walk from the lodge. This is a great set up for a large family group. Very private, yet close to everything! The owner's are friendly and helpful, yet don't disturb you. They will give you lots of information about things to do in the area, and they answered questions promptly. A good time was had by all. I would highly recommend both the Cottage and the Lodge. It's a great set up."

  • Wonderful Family Vacation in Manitou Springs

"My family and I spent 4 days in the Manitou Springs at this rental property. We were a party of 6 adults and 3 children ages 18 months, 5 years, and 7 years. The house was very comfortable. Everyone had more than enough space, the kitchen was well-stocked and there were plenty of linens, towels, and blankets. We enjoyed BBQs on the patio, walking to the park down the street, walking to town for ice cream, and we walked to the library where there was a free concert on the lawn. There were also many hikes nearby with waterfalls, rivers, and nature centers for the kids."
