  • Cute and charming cabin righton the S Arkansas River. Clean, quiet, and Dennis is a great host!

"The wife and our pooch enjoyed a quick weekend retreat away to enjoy all the area has to offer. The river is right outside your door and the rest of the property, including the orchard on one end, is just as gorgeous. Great for a weekend getaway like we did or a weeklong stay. The cabin has a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker which is perfect for snacking on leftovers and keeping the beer cold. Little sitting area to eat and and a desk or makeup area as well. Decent size bathroom, shower is a little small but overall a charming cabin. Brewery in Poncha Springs is less than 10 mins away and of course the amazing restaurants of Salida are around 10 mins away. Highly recommend the cabin and this area for foodies, adventure seekers and outdoor lovers! Don't forget to take the short hike right on property up to the lookout tower for a panoramic view of the whole area. Dennis let us know how to access the property ahead of time, but ended up greeting us on arrival offering suggestions and info for the property and letting us know to not hesitate to reach out if we needed anything."

  • We had a blast!!

"This is a great house in a great location. Just a few blocks from downtown Salida, it was perfect for an evening walked to the park, for dinner or to stroll along the river. 30 minutes to Monarch Ski. We had the best of both worlds ... skiing during the day, strolling through town in the evening. The house was in great shape and we really enjoyed the deck. All instructions were clear and getting access to the house was simple and straightforward. The only drawback to consider is the shower/bath. It is a neat set up, but a little sketchy if you are really tall or have any physical conditions that might cause problems with stairs, etc."

  • The property was great! Clean, modern and very comfortable.

"Dan was a great wealth of knowledge to the area we were staying. The only issue I had was when I was booking the property, nowhere on the site is it state that I needed a 4x4 vehicle. Luckily, there was no snow and things worked out great. So maybe for future tenants, specify a little better on the type of weather conditions for the time of year and whether or not an all wheel drive vehicle will be needed."

  • Relaxation at it's finest!

"My wife and I had a great time staying here! The cabin was clean and the perfect size for us. We were the only ones staying at the Creekside Chalets so it made for a very quiet and enjoyable stay. The one thing that did not work was the WiFi but other than that everything was perfect! We will be back!"
