  • Great house near everything

"This house worked great for our three families (total of 13) on our recent ski trip. It was located right by downtown Salida which allowed us to walk along the river, to the park as well as restaurants & shopping, but with a very private feel. Caryn was great to work with and the house was very welcoming."

  • Very cool property and a great location

"Wonderful location with a very fun Salida vibe in the interior. Parking was a little tough, as we stayed with two families and there is really only space for one car, so we had to move one back and forth when moving kids, but there is easy street parking really nearby. As mentioned, the kitchen is really tiny, which is OK and is made very clear at booking, but given the size of the space (it's huge!) would have been helpful to have some sort of counter space added, like a butcher's block or side table, in the kitchen area. We did actually cook a few meals there (breakfast and dinner) and it was a fairly well stocked kitchen so totally manageable -- the only hard part was there was no where to put things in the kitchen area. We stayed with 3 young kids and there were a few things that made it awesome and a few things that made it tough for young kids. The awesome items were that it was surprisingly child proof, as most furniture was tall enough that there wasn't a lot of "stuff" for toddlers to get in to or break. It was also really easy to clean the floors up as we went when crumbs were dropped (and the radiant heat was great). The tough part is that while the sliding walls are cool, they aren't sound proof, so our kids pretty much just stayed up until we went to bed because there wasn't a quiet dark space to put them to sleep in. So while there is plenty of space for a family (or two in our case) it isn't ideal given the lack of privacy. That being said, we loved that two of us could literally walk out the door and in to Amica's to wait for a table and then have the other adults bring the kids over as soon as our food was served! The location is incredible! Overall, we had a great time and recommend it for anyone looking for a fun, hip, place to stay in downtown Salida."

  • Beautiful riverside condo

"This place is amazing! Kids were very impressed, one of the nicest condos we've ever stayed in. Clean, new, premium features. Big enough for our family of five and the 3 bathrooms was a plus. All the kitchen supplies you will need. Close to downtown, and 3 balconies overlooking the river. Really nice having a garage and the laundry downstairs came in handy after skiing. About 20 minutes to monarch mountain. Loved it!"
