  • Relax, listen to the bubbling stream and enjoy this home!

"We had an incredible stay at the Stream Side Retreat! Like all other homes we've stayed in by this owner, the Stream Side Retread did not disappoint. The home is very well furnished; has new bathrooms and a new kitchen but the best part is the location. If you're looking for a quiet spot where deer literally are in the backyard, then this is it. We slept with the doors and windows open to enjoy the sound of the stream that runs behind the home. Outdoor decks make a very enjoyable place for morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. We loved it so much we've booked it for next year! P.S. Emily makes the booking of this home exceptionally easy!"

  • Weekend away from it all.

"It was a perfect get away for my family. Loved being disconnected. Wonderful views, great wildlife viewing out the window. Good hiking. Very private and easy. Would do this again when staying in the area."

  • Mountain Getaway meets Home Away from Home

"Where to start? This place was fabulous. It is a quiet but spacious cabin nestled in the woods. As mentioned in other listings the pictures do not do it justice. The cabin is beautiful with enough distance from the neighbors to feel like you have your own private getaway in the mountains. There were six of us, but room enough for twice that. There were plenty of fresh linens and even toiletries in all three of the bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking simple meals, and the living areas were spacious and comfortable. There is no internet and minimal cell service, but there was satellite and a small selection of DVDs. We enjoyed the area so much that we didn't miss the computer or phones. The location is perfect for a family weekend. We hiked around the cabin and on some of trails in the national forest, and we fished at the nearby South Platte River and 11 Mile Reservoir. One of the days we hunted fossils at a local quarry (this was especially exciting for the kids). In the evenings we played football and board games were visited by local wildlife including a few foxes and four beautiful bucks still in velvet racks. At night we roasted marshmallows over the fire pit and enjoyed a spectacular view of the night sky with seemingly endless stars. This was a wonderful retreat for three generations of our family, and we will definitely be back. Our only regret is that we did not book a longer stay, but we will remedy that on our next visit."

  • Amazing guest house

"The guest house was as good as the pictures looked, if not better. I would highly recommend it. Hope to stay there again soon."
