"We had a wonderful time - saw fox & deer - all we brought was food. 1 bag of trash in kitchen was all we had. Slept in the master on 3rd floor & watched movies & slept (retired & tired lol) I cant wait to visit in the summer, because we want to fish & hike!!! Had everything we needed from dishes to toilet paper. We had booze if we wanted & wine (we dont drink). Saw BIG deer with antlers right in front of the house. Just cant wait til summer & can stay longer than 3 days!!! Went to Cripple Creek on Saturday & got back at 10:30 & snow on the ground but NO problem. We truly had a divine time!!!"

  • Nice little cabin.

"Even though this cabin was amongst others, it felt very private. Wifi was great, kitchen fully stocked with essentials & the onsite washer/dryer was a plus. Here's the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Pillows are due to be changed as there was a strong odor. After the first night I rewashed the pillow cases & put the pillows in the dryer to fluff & hopefully sanitize. Helped with the smell. Also, too many fake flowers & greenery to gather dust. That's a problem for people like me who are allergic to dust. I'd also suggest the availability of an additional blanket as the one on the bed was a bit thin but the comforter was too big & heavy. I also don't like using a duvet/comforter up around my face when I'm not sure it gets laundered after each guest. Having said all that, it was still a nice peaceful place to spend a few days unwinding. We enjoyed walking around the property & especially visiting the labyrinth & seeing the views from the top of the hill. Deer visited us daily, even coming up on the porch & peering in thru the screen door. We saw rabbit, blue jays, & even a red fox."

  • Thanksgiving week

"Cabin felt much bigger than listed. We were provided with pretty much everything that we needed and really only had to buy food and basic toiletries. Loved the living room and spent the most time there. There's plenty of space on basement level as you walk in that you can leave muddy items and the proceed up to living areas. Very clean and well kept unit. Easy to keep warm."

  • Great Log Home

"This was our first VRBO experience and it was wonderful! The house was everything as described, very clean, full kitchen, beautiful views, wildlife viewing every day, and very comfortable! The huge deck was our personal favorite place to hang out in the morning with a cup of coffee or relaxing with a glass of wine after a busy day hiking around the Florissant Fossil Beds. The house is in a great location being just a couple of blocks off the paved road. We definitely recommend this for your next vacation!"
