  • Very Sweet place to stay

"My wife and I needed a get-away badly and this certainly fit the bill! The house was clean and well furnished. Had everything we needed for a relaxing and private vacation. Hot tub was a very nice touch as we sat in it and were just amazed at the millions of stars! There was a little more road noise than we would have liked, but that would not keep us from coming back.We brought our two dogs with us and they absolutely loved romping throught the woods and snow! It was close enough to the towns so we could grab whatever we needed. If I had to give one criticism it would be the couches. They have definately been used well as most of the cushion is gone in the seating portion. Could really be replaced. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to come back!"

  • Great entertainment home

"Our stay was perfect. The home is spotless, and very spacious. We loved all being on the same level, and all the games you can play were great. The patio area is awesome. Very nice area, and great views."

  • Fantastic Stay!

"What a perfectly appointed stay while in Colorado Springs for a family wedding! More than comfortably slept six adults and three children, while providing everything we needed including a pack n' play with baby linens. The tea kettle was a huge win as well! The owners were fantastic to work with and the home is gorgeous. Will definitely stay again the next time we're in Colorado Springs!"

  • Lovely location & well-appointed cabin

"We had a really lovely time staying at this mountain home! LOCATION: Near Divide, Colorado, it was 'in the middle' of all of the area activities we were wanting to do & we enjoyed returning each day to a quiet place in a serene setting & the ability to cook our own meals & pack our own picnics, thus saving a lot of money & time from restaurants! PROPERTY: This property was very clean & well maintained & organized! The cabin itself is very nicely laid out with 2 bedrooms (1 double/1 king), living, bath (shower/toilet/sink), and kitchen/dining on the lower floor. The upper floor has a large bedroom with a double & 2 twin beds in it & a little loft with love seat & bookshelf full of games. Not sure the Pikes Peak view is still quite so clear from the deck. FURNISHINGS: It was nice to see someone didn't just throw in their leftovers or head to Walmart to furnish this property! Although some of the bed linens & pillows could use replacing, there was a lovely supply of quilts, towels, dish towels, etc, all in good condition. The kitchen was well-appointed, with nice pots & utensils, although a medium sized skillet would've been nice & one of the large ones was very scratched up. There were no larger mixing bowls...only a small one. There were your basic salt & pepper, coffee filters, and plastic wrap, Al foil, etc left likely from others. We added wooden spoons because most utensils were plastic & not good for high heat cooking & a set of measuring cups, because what was there was incomplete. But there were a lot of things in the cabinets, like crock pots, hand mixer, blender, etc that some might find useful...although it's possible they're just taking up space! There wasn't a lot of cabinet space, though, to put your own food when you arrived...we rearranged to help with this a bit. It would be nice if all the dinnerware matched to make it easier to retrieve & store....and something with not such deep cereal bowls! Why we didn't rate it 5 stars: The condition/need for items mentioned above (linens needing replacement, some minor kitchen things) and the fact that the den area only has seating space for 4. The seals on the large windows that look from the den into the forest are broken, so much of the time there was condensate covering about 1/4 of the lower windows, obstructing the view. Even in this case, we would still recommend this property to others looking at this area & consider it ourselves should we return to this area."
