  • Magical!

"Oh my! The pictures are spot on; however, they do not truly express the magical feel when you walk in the door! It's perfect, in all ways. George and Devon have done an amazing job building, furnishing, and filling the area with nature's best of flowers and trees. The large trees shade the yurt from the sun; however, for your comfort, the AC does cool the place down in the hottest part of the day. But, why stay inside when you can sit in the shade on the deck, listen to the river as it flows along, watch the butterflies as they stop at the beautiful flowers, or perhaps see deer at the river's edge. You are secluded from the road in your own private oasis where you can totally relax and clear your mind. Plenty to see and do in the area; the Black Canyon of the Gunnison is only a short drive away. So many orchards to satisfy your desire for fresh picked fruit; at this time, it's cherry season and they are awesome. Great places to eat in Paonia; if you like Italian, we highly recommend The Flying Fork. I highly recommend this, and my husband and I will definitely go back and spend more time at this magical yurt. Thank you so much, George and Devon, for sharing this magical place with everyone!"

  • Stunning views and a cozy cabin feel

"The owners are wonderful and hospitable, making our stay virtually effortless. The cabin has stunning views in almost all directions and a well stocked fireplace, not to mention games for the whole family. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this place to others in the area."

  • Fantastic!

"Everything about this house, our hosts, the town and area is just fantastic if you want the perfect rural "Mayberry with an artsy twist" experience - donkey and a variety of farm animals next door, an abundance of bird life, amazing fall colors, regular evening visitations of deer and elk, walk to town, completely peaceful surroundings and so close to amazing mountain drives with a ski resort around every turn (it sure seems like it). The house has a genuine historic feel and sounds, the only thing missing is a ghost in the attic - maybe he's there and just wants to enjoy the scenery like you. We will definitely return."

  • Great Cabin!

"First of all, our trip plans totally fell through. We went to Colorado to watch our son's collegiate mountain bike race. We also though we might be hosting for a night a couple of members of our Colorado family. The race was cancelled and said family chose not to come after all so we ended up being three people in this very spacious cabin which would have been ideal for the group we might have had. The cabin is very attractively furnished and decorated and is ideally situated to enjoy the Grand Mesa. We did a lot of hiking and enjoyed the bright yellow of the aspens. I think it would be a great ski cabin as well during the winter. The pool table, foosball table, and pinball machine are great entertainment. The kitchen is fairly well equipped for a rental and the outside grill, dining table, and disco ball (!) are fun during sunny weather. I would definitely consider this rental again should we re-visit the Grand Mesa."
