  • Magical!

"Oh my! The pictures are spot on; however, they do not truly express the magical feel when you walk in the door! It's perfect, in all ways. George and Devon have done an amazing job building, furnishing, and filling the area with nature's best of flowers and trees. The large trees shade the yurt from the sun; however, for your comfort, the AC does cool the place down in the hottest part of the day. But, why stay inside when you can sit in the shade on the deck, listen to the river as it flows along, watch the butterflies as they stop at the beautiful flowers, or perhaps see deer at the river's edge. You are secluded from the road in your own private oasis where you can totally relax and clear your mind. Plenty to see and do in the area; the Black Canyon of the Gunnison is only a short drive away. So many orchards to satisfy your desire for fresh picked fruit; at this time, it's cherry season and they are awesome. Great places to eat in Paonia; if you like Italian, we highly recommend The Flying Fork. I highly recommend this, and my husband and I will definitely go back and spend more time at this magical yurt. Thank you so much, George and Devon, for sharing this magical place with everyone!"

  • A perfect mix between removed and accessible

"Crossing Creek is a location that we decided to take a look at to host a wedding of ~150 people. Instead of being another Aspen/Estes Park/Vail wedding, we wanted to find something a little different. A big deal for us was we wanted to find a location that was easy for family members to travel from Denver, and close to an airport for family that would fly in from around the country. This is a BIG check in When we first arrived, it was like pulling in to an enchanted cabin because the lodge sits on top of a hill, overlooking the valley below. It was nothing short of amazing to see during the sunrise. Working with the Crossing Creek Grand Resort team has been fantastic so far, especially the property owners Jeremy and Candice. They have a small team that helps them take care of the property and keep the ground in top shape. The property is a perfect suit for us because we like to hike, mountain bike, fish, and enjoy being disconnected from the outside world. We can't wait to have our wedding here next spring and explore more of the 1,700 acres that is available to all guests! I would highly recommend taking the time to stay at Crossing Creek and look forward to getting back out here."

  • Fantastic!

"Everything about this house, our hosts, the town and area is just fantastic if you want the perfect rural "Mayberry with an artsy twist" experience - donkey and a variety of farm animals next door, an abundance of bird life, amazing fall colors, regular evening visitations of deer and elk, walk to town, completely peaceful surroundings and so close to amazing mountain drives with a ski resort around every turn (it sure seems like it). The house has a genuine historic feel and sounds, the only thing missing is a ghost in the attic - maybe he's there and just wants to enjoy the scenery like you. We will definitely return."
