  • Great Place to Vacation!

"This is a great place to stay at! We were greeted with eggs from Katie and Scott's chicken coop. They are just the nicest people. My group was there for spring break and it was close enough to town to run in and get necessities (though the house is well stocked) and also close enough to ski slopes that it's just a short drive. Scott and Katie answered any and all questions that we had the whole week and were always just a phone call away. The house was great too! Huge living room/kitchen area with TV made for some fun nights of watching March Madness. Hot tub at night was wonderful also! This place can comfortably sleep 8-10 people and there is plenty of room for everyone. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who will be visiting the area and I will definitely be coming back! Thanks Katie and Scott for such a wonderful place to stay!"

  • Large and accommodating

"I'm a Durango local but needed housing for my family who was attending their son's wedding. The spacious townhome accommodated a large number of people. A large, fully equipped kitchen helped immensely. Renters should know that most Durango properties do not have air conditioning. This is usually not a problem because temps get low during the night and keep things very cool. However, the townhome owners also provide two portable evaporative coolers and fans to help. Had all the amenities we needed including washer/dryer and wifi. A bonus is that a small market called PJs is only a mile away. It has a variety of gourmet items plus all the staples from canned goods to dairy to frozen foods. The adjacent golf course restaurant -- Swing -- is also first-class and has an amazing menu that almost beats the incredible views."

  • A great place to stay in Durango

"My family and I stayed here for 4 days for a spring skiing vacation. The house is located about 25 minutes from Purgatory and about 10-15 minutes from Durango. The house itself is clean, well-maintained, and the kitchen is very well stocked with everything from a pancake gridle to a crockpot. The couches and fireplace in the living room make it a comfortable place to relax after a day on the slopes. We didn't use the back patio, but there is one with a BBQ and an outdoor dining set. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of room for the 6 of us. The bathrooms are stocked with big, fluffy towels, and the extras like additional rolls of toilet paper, soap, and things like that were appreciated so we didn't have to make a trip to the store after our long drive to Durango. John was easy to deal with and answered all my questions. There was some confusion about the pricing when I made the reservation, but he worked with me to quickly fix the problem. I would highly recommend this rental. We hope to come back in the future."

  • Nice place in a nice neighborhood

"Enjoyed staying in Red Rock Hideout with my children. Kitchen is well stocked. The weather was hot, so I was thankful that I chose a place with air conditioning."
