  • Purgatory Condo

"The location of the condo is great and it suited our needs. It's a little dated but really not too much of an issue. The bedrooms are all downstairs and kind of odd. Especially the one with twin beds. So cramped you can't even open the dresser drawers. Seems useless to have the dresser in there. It holds a lamp that doesn't work. But overall the condo was functional and we enjoyed the stay. If Mr. Reedy wants something from you, he is overly pleasant and polite to deal with. Like when he wanted us to vacate the unit while a realtor showed it to a potential buyer. If you want something from him, like directions to the location before he sees fit to give them to you (although he already has cashed your check) he is extremely unpleasant to deal with so expect some swearing. I don't know how many renters he has that pay him directly...not thru VRBO and then get sworn at but I doubt he will have many if he keeps it up."

  • Outstanding Home!

"Perfect home for large family with 2 King bedrooms, as well as loft and kids room with bunk beds. Great hot tub off on master bedroom downstairs. The best feature however is the large wrap around desk with spectacular views of Lake Electra! Nice grill available for BBQ, simply a wonderful stay, secluded, quiet oasis, yet close enough for venturing to Durango for shopping or fishing at the lake. Property Manager Kimberly, top notch to work with, great communication and easy transaction. Definitely plan to make a return trip."

  • Great Price for a family of 4

"This room was perfect for our family of four. We explored Colorado during the day and would return in the evening. We used the kitchen (well-stocked) for meals in the evening and breakfast in the morning. The queen bed was comfortable. The pull-out couches weren’t awesome, but we brought a foam pad to use, and that worked well. We were there during the summer months, so it was warm during part of the day. We bought an extra fan to help cool it off. For the price and location, this room worked very well for us. Rick, the owner, was always available to help answer questions or restock anything that was missing or broken. Would come back and stay again."
