"My wife, 2 teenage sons and I really enjoyed Black Bear 102. Beautiful design. Roomy for all of us. Pictures are true to condition. The only down side is road noise from windows facing the road. I would love to own it. Pets are welcome but we did not bring our Duke."

"We enjoyed the walking distance to Durango Mountain Village activities. Condo kitchen lacked for nothing. Family of 5 enjoyed games, outdoor access to play from back door. Recommend highly!
Only negative was we couldn't get grill to consistently work with enough flame to cook steaks or hamburgers."

"The condo was very nice for our stay. The condo is older, but is kept up with updates and cleanliness. Nice huge bathroom and my daughter enjoyed the jetted tub. The owner has a very nice selection of coffee for renters to use which was a treat! The owner also had a lot of info about the area and how to get to fishing and hiking spots and also restaurants(the schoolhouse pizza place pizza was awesome).
Pool and hot tub inside was good the outside hot tubs burned your skin, so hopefully they have that fixed, I'm sure, by now.
The view from the condo balcony and just the whole area is beautiful. We would come back, my only con about the whole place was a very uncomfortable bed in the bedroom, might have to switch to the foam pullout couch next time!!
Thank you Rhonda for sharing your place with us you made our stay very enjoyable!!"

"This is our 3rd year our two families of 4 have stayed at Mark's home-away-from-home at Purgatory Lodge. This condo has everything you need and want. There is so much room here, the 4 adults and 4 pre-teen and teenage boys have plenty of space to spread out and never feel cramped. The kids sleep in the bunk beds so the 4th room is used as an extra space for toys, luggage or piling on the fold out bed and watching a movie (which rarely happens because there's so much to do!). The kitchen is stocked with all the staples and more. We cooked all our dinners and enjoyed gathering around the 8 seat table for dinner then games.
There's is no need for AC in the unit as all the windows open and cool the condo down to the point it gets chilly- even in July!
There's plenty to do at the condo- zipline, alpine slide, ropes course, hiking, renting bikes (you can take your bike on the ski lift and have a fun yet challenging ride down), swimming, hot tub, game room (w/ a pool table, foosball, Xbox and Wii) and across the street you can now rent paddleboards and paddleboats. We always enjoy off-roading in a rented jeep to drive up high in the mountains and get our feet in snow and taking a rafting trip down the Animas.
You will not go wrong renting this condo. Mark is very responsive and, as a local, can help you should you need recommendations."
