  • Cozy cabin!

"We had a wonderful weekend at this cozy cabin located in a beautiful neighborhood very near the ski mountain. The cabin had everything we needed and we loved walking in the neighborhood and soaking in the hot tub. We arrived in the middle of a very snowy few days, and the owner was extremely helpful in making sure we had everything we needed. We hope to come back soon!"

  • Rejuvenation of the Soul at Risco Rojo

"This property was everything described and more. Not only does Vicki provide everything you need for a fantastic stay, the property itself has an aura of peacefulness and serenity that is unbeatable. The property has fantastic views both inside and out and is in the perfect location just out of town. The home is on 10 acres and we saw a huge buck with his son/grandson just off the patio- it was enchanting. There is a great grocery store at the junction down the street so if you just want to laze around the market is only a few minutes away. Vicki was a joy to deal with. She responds quickly and clearly loves the area and the home. We will likely return to Durango next year and hope we can again visit Risco Rojo."

  • Nice nice place!!

"We stayed here for a weekend... this place is clean, nicely located to all happenings....very up to date, great fireplace.... we thoroughly enjoyed it! The only thing was the driveway had lots of snow on it....& we waited late in the morning to try to park in the garage, I would assumed it should have been cleared by 11a... we had to shovel the driveway opening to get in... , but they gave us a complimentary late departure time because we got snowed in at upper lot....Would stay again for sure! We enjoyed our Pergatory stay over all!!!"

  • Huge condo, great location!

"We booked this condo for a 4-night stay after New Year's. We thought the price was very reasonable given the accommodations and location. The manager was very quick to respond to our reservation request and super helpful providing information about lift tickets, the resort, Durango, etc. Our arrival went smoothly - no need to check-in at an office. They leave a key and you go straight to the condo which is nice after a long day of travel. The condo is very large - sleeps 10 in beds, but could easily sleep 12-14 with the extra mattresses we saw and two full size couches in the living room. The condo is three stories so you can spread out and not feel crowded or hear people in the morning if you slept in. We liked having the convenience of a washer/dryer. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils. It would have been nice to have some Tupperware to store leftover meals and a Keurig instead of a standard coffeemaker, but those are minor things. The living area is larger than most condos we've rented (seating for 12+) and has a large flat screen TV, lots of board games, wood burning fireplace, and large windows. The mud room is great for storing boots, skis, etc. and has direct access out the back door to walk to the ski trail. Bathrooms could use more towels, but the ones they had were nice as was all the bedding in the bedrooms. All questions or issues we had, which were minor, were addressed within minutes of calling or emailing the manager. By far the best customer service we've had and we've been traveling to CO for years. Our only complaints are limited parking (a small partially covered carport for one car, plus parking out front for a second car, means your cars are cold and covered in snow), the trail to ski back to the condo is a black trail which my family could not do (we skied down to the base and sent one person to get the car at the condo), and the club (which we paid extra for) is too far to walk and the pool was closed so we didn't use any of the club amenities."
