  • Wonderful!

"We could not believe how lucky we were when we drove up and saw this beautiful cabin tucked away at the end of the road. The wrap around deck made for spectacular views from every angle . The cabin was fully furnished with everything you could need to make yourself at home. We had breakfast and dinner every night at the cabin and it was just wonderful having my whole family sitting around the table enjoying and talking during our meals. I was able to take my 2 mini-schnauzers Todd and Charlie who enjoyed the crisp walks in the mornings, napping in the sunshine on the deck during the day to rest and sleeping in front of the fireplace in the evenings. We all enjoyed sitting in the relaxing hot tub in the evening after a day of sight seeing and hiking. It was also fun to see all the wildlife around, the wild turkeys, elk, chipmunks, squirrels. The cabin was 30 minutes from Durango so we were able to go into town and enjoy the many shops and local eateries. Be sure to stop by Honeyville and pick up some homemade honey, candy, jams and wine totally worth it. I would highly recommend this beautiful cabin to anyone that is looking for a relaxing, well maintained property that is pet friendly to enjoy with your family. Thanks for a wonderful getaway!"

  • Beautiful home, easy walk to downtown Durango

"Nice home, would definitely use it again. The only thing that was a negative was parking is very limited when you get past 2 cars. Everything else was great!"

  • Great Family Getaway

"We’ve been coming to the lake house for several years now and it never ceases to bring a smile to our faces. Between the open floor plan and great views of the outdoors it’s a perfect place to unwind. Our kids were young adults when we first started coming and they just loved the place. This year was the first time we had the older grandkids along. We still had plenty of space and adventures right outside the door. It was fun to watch the “city” grandkids running around exploring. They spent hours along the shoreline, up the creek, and in the paddleboats. No video games needed here. We took an afternoon and went over to the ski resort. In succession the gk’s did the Alpine slide, bungee trampoline, rope course, and zip line. You never saw kids so happy to escape the summer heat and be back outside. With its location just off hwy 550 the house is also a perfect base for day trips in the Durango area. Over the years we have gone whitewater rafting, rode the D&SNG railroad, watched the fireworks in Silverton, sampled the farmers market in Telluride, and hiked the Hermosa Creek trail just to name a few. Each year we’ve had a great time and each summer kids ask us “What days are you going to be back at the lake house?” :)"
