"We actually stayed here last Fall also, but for some reason our review didn't get onto the site. We had virtually the same satisfaction this year as last. The owner, Denny, was very helpful and because of our late arrival, had stocked the kitchen with some items for our next morning's breakfast. He lives on the property and obviously takes pride in the house. With all of the large windows, the mountain views while overlooking the golf course, are breathtaking. The large upper and lower wrap around deck areas allowed us to sit outside and enjoy the natural beauty (and the putting green carpet, with practice holes, was a novel idea). The entire house is thoughtfully laid out and I think could be enjoyed by a large group or small. At night, the large central chimney with multiple gas fireplaces gave the rooms a cozy feel. The kitchen included high end appliances, 2 sinks, 2 dishwashers, 2 microwaves, and large separate freezer and refrigerator. Everything we wanted, and more, was there and was clean. My wife and I slept in the master suite on the main floor, which had a King bed, an attached office space to do our work (good WIFI), vaulted ceilings, large flat screen TV, a view of Mount Wilson, huge walk in closet, steam shower, Jacuzzi style tub, and 2 toilet rooms. There were 2 other King Master Suites in the lower level and 2 bedrooms and a sleeping/lounging loft on the second floor. We loved the pool table in the game room. There was also another large (50' x 12' x 12') play room with a batting/driving cage and ping pong table. There was a hot tub outside but we didn't use it. There are outdoor tennis courts 100 yards away. Because the house faces South and has the tall ceilings, the sunlight steaming in the windows and the full length row of skylights, made it very bright and cheery. There is even a full sized tree growing up the center!! North facing log homes we have stayed in were dark and depressing. We used the free Dial-A-Ride shuttle service to pick us up and take us anywhere we wanted to go. It was very convenient for those evenings when we didn't want to drink and drive or to just make a quick stop at the grocery store. In the winter it goes right to the lifts. The Gondola ride over the mountain into downtown was also very convenient. Denny has lived in Telluride for a long time and was very interesting to talk to. He knew much about the area, and it was interesting to hear his story about the building of this house."
