  • Comfortable house with awesome views in quiet culdesac w/ easy access to town shuttle

"My husband and I stayed at this lovely home with our two little dogs for over a week. The house is situated on a quiet culdesac on the east end of town. Short 2 block walk to the Goose (free town shuttle) that was very convenient. We never drove our car while we were there. Often, we just walked into town to the restaurants and bars. (Full disclosure: the 2 blocks are uphill on the way home.) The house is located right next to the cemetery, where dogs are allowed to run (either officially or unofficially, not sure). Also, there is a trail on the other end of the culdesac that we saw people walking their dogs on. Since it was just the 2 of us, we only used the master bedroom area (top floor of house) so my review doesn't address the lower-level with more bedrooms and full bathroom. The master area was very nice and comfortable. Lots of closet space, comfortable king bed, updated bathroom with two vanities, large steam shower and AMAZING view. Kitchen is updated, large and well stocked, which opens into a large living room w/ the same AMAZING view as the master bedroom above it. For the little cooking we did, the kitchen had everything we needed. The owner was responsive, easy to work with and accommodating. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we ever get back to Telluride. P.S. We rented a locker at Paragon, just across from the free gondola. We left our ski stuff there so we didn't have to drag it back-n-forth every day. Very convenient."

  • Great pre-Christmas ski trip

"Several years ago my family starting renting homes for our family vacations. Our family of 4 sometimes brings girlfriends and friends along, but this time it was just the four of us. So while the house was larger than needed it is a beautiful place in great condition... the best of any of the homes we have ever rented. The house is located on the Galloping Goose run and is probably 100 yds from that actual run ... it requires a little bit of poling on ski's to get to/from the run, but nothing too strenuous at all. Inside the home has a beautiful timber frame look that is very open. We had fun playing pool on the lowest level and enjoyed congregating in the den after a day of skiing. We ate out every night, but the home had the set up and all the pots/pans/outdoor grill etc. you'd ever want for a large meal at "home." The owner stores their car in the garage, leaving plenty of room for a single 4wd to park in the heated garage and turn around to exit the driveway. It would be challenging to have multiple cars at this residence in the snow .... the drive is steep enough that you don't want to back down it and there is not any room outside the garage to get another car out of the way. The wifi and "home office" area were great for me as I had at least 2 hours a day of keeping up my obligations to the working world. The TV's were the only area where our family's habits were much different from the owners ... at home we have many HD flat screens with all the DirecTV channels and this home had basic cable (I think) and standard definition TVs. For this time of year that was zero issue because our sports teams weren't playing, but it was something some renters might wish for more at certain times of year. This was our first trip to Telluride and it is one of the best, least crowded ski resorts we have ever been to. This home seems typical of the many beautiful large homes you see alongside the slopes on this mountain. It is a beautiful home in a beautiful place .... we hope to come back to it one day soon. The owner of the home also seems to be a very nice person who is very reasonable to interact with .... I don't see how anyone renting this home could come away disappointed."

  • New year with family

"It's a very nice townhouse. We are a family of 7, my husband and I, my three daughters, my son in law and my just turn 4 granddaughter . Plenty of space. The loft has 3 twin low beds, the little one loved it, and it's very private. You have to go up and down since the house is 4 story floor plan, not for seniors, it's literally takes your breath away!! But you get used to it. We arrived in two cars, and fortunately the neighbors in the 1 bedroom house in front didn't have one so we could park both cars in the driveway, it's not a closed garage and we had freezing temperatures (-19F) the day we left, I guess that was the only setback, since we are not used to temperatures that low. Everything is so close, we just used the car to be picked up from dinner because of the weather. Wonderful kitchen , has everything you need, and more. We had friends come over to celebrate New Year and we cooked a full dinner. The free gondola is virtually steps away, 2 1/2 very small blocks. We skied , must of us left the skis and boots in the ski valet in mountain village, so if we liked we could hang out in "tomboy tavern" ( very recommended ) in the comfort of our boots, and no problem getting back in the gondola. My eldest skied down and left the skis outside the house in the ski racks, so very nice to have both options. Also the clinic in town is a couple of houses down pacific ave. In case you need to visit it, like for example If you break your shoulder on the slopes ...OUCH! Lisa is always available or Cathy , to help with any issues you find. We hope to have a chance to go back next holidays, loved the house."

  • Fantastic

"We stayed here for Labor Day weekend and loved it. It was bigger than it seemed in the pictures. Very clean. Owner was incredibly responsive. We would highly recommend it to anyone. Loved the location right at the drop off too. We've already booked it for next Labor Day."
