  • Winter wonderland

"We stayed here during Christmas week in 2015 (4 adults, using all three bedrooms). The house was very comfortable and warm thanks to the radiant heating. The 270 degree views of Colorado's San Juans and the meadows, hillsides and Aspen groves of Wilson Mesa are spectacular, captivating and visible from every room. Alpenglow one evening, moonrises over Mt. Wilson, watching the weather build up on the peaks. John was a wonderful host, very knowledgable about the local area and kindly arranging an opportunity for us to get a christmas tree. We cooked every night, the kitchen was well equipped and open plan so we could cook and spend time with each other and enjoying the view. Each morning we woke to see the tracks of the local wildlife in the snow. We came to enjoy the cross country skiing in the Telluride area and found multiple spectacular well-groomed trails within 30 minutes drive of John's place. There are also many options to ski back-country routes. During the week we stayed there was significant snowfall (several feet) and blizzard like conditions at times. John kept his driveway well plowed so we could always access the place and stayed in contact with us when the weather was hazardous. We had no trouble accessing the property in an all wheel drive SUV but did need to take it slow on the steeper parts of the county road that leads to Wilson Mesa. The house is some distance from Telluride (about 25 minutes driving slowly on snow covered roads) and we enjoyed the solitude of staying outside of town during the really busy holiday period. Come here if you want a unique South West Colorado experience and a chance to connect with the landscape away from the condos and crowds of the ski resort."

  • The heart of Telluride.

"Lisa's townhouse was outstanding. It is a perfect location as once we parked the cars we did not need to move them the rest of the week. The home itself was beautiful and very comfortable. Just don't mind walking up and down stairs as there are four levels. The balcony view was very nice and you couldn't ask for many more amenities than what were there. We would definitely stay again."

  • Comfortable house with awesome views in quiet culdesac w/ easy access to town shuttle

"My husband and I stayed at this lovely home with our two little dogs for over a week. The house is situated on a quiet culdesac on the east end of town. Short 2 block walk to the Goose (free town shuttle) that was very convenient. We never drove our car while we were there. Often, we just walked into town to the restaurants and bars. (Full disclosure: the 2 blocks are uphill on the way home.) The house is located right next to the cemetery, where dogs are allowed to run (either officially or unofficially, not sure). Also, there is a trail on the other end of the culdesac that we saw people walking their dogs on. Since it was just the 2 of us, we only used the master bedroom area (top floor of house) so my review doesn't address the lower-level with more bedrooms and full bathroom. The master area was very nice and comfortable. Lots of closet space, comfortable king bed, updated bathroom with two vanities, large steam shower and AMAZING view. Kitchen is updated, large and well stocked, which opens into a large living room w/ the same AMAZING view as the master bedroom above it. For the little cooking we did, the kitchen had everything we needed. The owner was responsive, easy to work with and accommodating. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we ever get back to Telluride. P.S. We rented a locker at Paragon, just across from the free gondola. We left our ski stuff there so we didn't have to drag it back-n-forth every day. Very convenient."

  • Beautiful home with all the essentials!

"We travel with two other families every Spring Break and decided to give Telluride a try this year. We couldn't have been any happier about our choice. As we pulled into the driveway the snow began to fall. The kids were so elated to put on their snow gear and make snowballs and angels. The house was situated on a hilltop at the end of town and surrounded by endless views of the mountains. The sunset reflects off of the mountain in the evening hours and we captured beautiful pictures. The house was fully equipped with all of the comforts of home. Plenty of towels, hot water, pillows, blankets, and all of the essentials. The multilevel layout provided plenty of privacy for the kids to have a great time and the adults to unwind. We look forward to visiting this beautiful home again. Thanks to Mike, the owner, for always being available to answer our questions. Give the house a try, you won't be disappointed! The Lazorik Family"
