  • Lovely and comfortable -- we'd go back for sure

"#521 of Telluride Lodge proved to be an excellent place for 7 of us to share. All adults, we had plenty of room. The accommodations were attractive--cozy and spacious at the same time -- and the terrace with the view of mountains was a great plus. The kitchen was well stocked, the condo very clean, bathrooms spacious, and when we needed a window fixed, the man was there the same day to take care of it. Our hosts were also very attentive even from far away."

  • The condo was clean, well equipped and in excellent condition.

"We had a wonderful time while staying at cascade village. Lots of fine amenities. We had a family reunion there and our grandchildren loved the swimming pool. There was also a large grassy area to play outside on with a quaint pond to fish in. The barbque area was very nice to use for outdoor cooking. Our condo was nicely placed to access all of these amenities. It had all the necessary kitchen accessories and cleaning supplies and very clean. With the size group we had it would have been nice to have a card table and chairs for extra eating space and playing games on. Beds were very comfortable and linens were of nice quality. I would recommend the condo to anyone. We will come back and will secure this condo for our next stay. Cascade Village was nicely situated to access fishing places, hiking, use of the skiing area for winter or summer use, and only 30 miles from Durango or Silverton. We were very happy about our choice and will return with no hesitation."

  • Home away from Home

"We were in Crested Butte for our son’s July 16 wedding and found Wild Iris to be perfect for us (my husband, me, our daughter and her husband). Because of the wedding, there were a number of family members and friends staying in different locations, including in Mt. Crested Butte. The house is very close to the main stop for the free shuttle that runs between Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte, so it was easy for people to drop by our house. It is only a block off the main street, Elk, which has a number of restaurants and shops. The Wild Iris location, however, is quiet because it does not have commercial establishments near it. It also is very close to the local grocery. Basically, once you arrive at Wild Iris you don’t need to use your car unless heading off for a hike or event that is out-of-town. The house has a nice historic feel to it, has some flowers around, and is a charming place to stay. The living room, kitchen and dining area are combined and open onto the deck and small fenced yard so it doesn’t feel cramped at all. The house included some nice, home-like touches such as a book on local hikes. Some places we’ve stayed clear everything out so you have to buy salt, pepper, etc. These were at the house, along with various spices, laundry soap, etc. Presumably this varies depending on the last rental, but it was nice to have them. We also liked the fact that our daughter was able to bring her elderly dog along. Overall it is a nice house in a great location and a fun place to stay. We found the owner and the property manager to be very helpful. Also the pictures and description are accurate (minus the snow, of course -- we were there during wildflower season!)"
