"Great property. The house was very nice, and clean. The large windows and over abundant porch and balcony space made us feel we were outside all of the time. actually we were out side and active most of the time - and the location of the property was perfect for all of our activities from horse back riding to rafting to fishing on various parts of the Animas, to enjoying the historic district. management was professional and easy to work with. Had a great time - and if ever back in the Durango area, will certainly stay at Rio Angels."

  • Amazing ‼️

"First let me say, I wish I could afford to buy this house. My family was very comfortable and impressed with all the conveniences made available with a fully stocked kitchen, laundry, garage & the incredible location. The house is so beautifully rustic & refined. A great family vacation. Thank you. Wish we could have stayed longer."

  • Fantastic home, location, homeowner

"We absolutely loved the house. The location just north of town was a great compromise with very easy access into town as well as going north to the amazing hiking, jeep trails, Purgatory, Silverton, etc. Ken was VERY responsive and just a joy to deal with. If our family returns to Durango, we'll definitely be looking to stay here again. One more note, we were there during an unusually hot summer. Even with temps in the mid-90s during the day, by keeping the windows open in the evening, the house cooled down very well and around 10 am we'd seal them up and the house never really got too warm. About three days we went ahead and turned on one of the cooling fans downstairs, but overall, very easy to manage even in hot weather. Nothing beats Durango summer nights!"

  • Perfection location for a perfect family vacation!

"Our family of four absolutely loved this condo and the Purgatory Resort. The weather was beautiful the first week of August. We bought a hummingbird feeder for the weekend and our kids actually had hummingbirds sitting on their fingers in front of the feeder. We counted 10 at a time feeding from the feeder. We also watched a family of marmots play beneath the deck. We enjoyed the amenities that were offered and extra activities available for purchase such as the alpine slide, scenic lift, zipline, etc. The condo was nicely stocked. We cooked all but two meals. The pizza restaurant onsite has wonderful pizza!! The view from this condo is lovely and the walk to the pool/hot tub is a short one ... just right across the street. We had a nice drive to Vallecito Lake, Mesa Verda, Telluride, Durango and Hermosa (don't drive up the Lower Hermosa Road and go up the mountain to the trailhead during a rain, you may have to wait an hour for the road grader to clear a mudslide!!) Many beautiful things to see in this area. Thanks so much for your attention to detail. The decor was charming and the canvas paintings were so lovely. We had a wonderful family vacation with memories to last a lifetime! God Bless! We can't wait to return to Colorado one day . . . and this will be where we will stay!"
