  • Peaceful, perfect weekend

"This is a special house, and we enjoyed every moment. It was cozy, comfortable, beautifully designed and in the perfect location to enjoy the rest of the Berkshires. Thank you for sharing it with us."

  • Lovely Comfortable Stay

"Stayed at Buttermilk Falls Cottage for a long weekend while we curled at the nearby Norfolk Curling Club. Nicely decorated, comfortable, three bedroom home (half of a duplex). Plenty of room for our team of four and everything we needed for our stay was right there - including comfortable beds, TV, internet, and breakfast items in the refrigerator. We hope to be back soon!"

  • Great Labor Day Weekend Getaway!

"We stayed at Tim's lake property for Labor Day weekend. We live about 25 minutes away but wanted to get away for the last weekend of summer. My family of 2 adults and 3 kids and our friend's family of 2 adults and 2 kids had plenty of choices for sleeping space and we managed to survive three days sharing one bathroom with five teenagers. No small feat! The house was immaculate when we arrived and the beds were made and a bin of bath clean towels was waiting for us. We brought kayaks, a paddleboard and tubes and spent many hours swimming, paddling and floating in the warm, clean water of the North Pond. The neighbors were very friendly and we met all of the neighborhood dogs too! Kids fished off the dock and caught small sunfish with worms. They fed the ducks who swam by and generally had a ball. The kitchen had lots of pots and pans for cooking and we used the gas grill on the deck several times. We made a fire in the fire bowl on a couple of nights and sat down by the water toasting marshmallows and sipping adult beverages. If you come, make sure to bring your own lawn chairs/beach chairs. It's about a 5 minutes walk to Louie B's - a local restaurant/bar with live music on the lake. We stopped by a couple of times :-) Package stores, Big-Y, Dunkin Donuts and Ocean State Job Lot are all nearby (under 10 minutes) as well. Since we were so close, we had friends and parents stop by for a meal on Saturday and others on Sunday and there was plenty of space to park a couple of extra cars. Tim, the owner, stopped by when we first arrived to say hello (his house is a couple of doors down) and overall was very helpful and pleasant throughout our stay. We really enjoyed the property and would return!"

  • Dream family vacation

"We stayed here for a week in celebration of my mother's 70th birthday. The place is amazing. There were ten of us (including four kids) -- and the house could not have suited us better. It's gorgeous and spacious, comfortable yet luxurious, perfect for large groups, for cooking big meals and hanging out, and yet, we all had plenty of space and privacy. The property is exquisite, with incredible mountain views and many wooded trails to explore, a beautiful new pool and huge hot tub. At night, we'd sit and watch the stars. During the day, we either lazed around the grounds or explored local attractions, hiking Bash Bish falls, going to the adventure park at Catamount, fishing, and swimming in the quarry, walking around Great Barrington, visiting the Norman Rockwell museum in Stockbridge, and evening concerts in Tanglewood. I can't recommend it highly enough for groups of all ages."
