  • Great Place for Lake Vacation!

"All five of us…three adults and two teens…had a great week on Highland Lake. We loved the kayaking with the comfy seats, and traveled all three bays every day! At the recommendation of Mark, we rented a paddleboard from Collinsville Canoe and Kayak and enjoyed paddling the many coves, admiring the houses. Just a short distance down Rte. 44 we had farm stands where we got fresh eggs and veggies as well as homemade jams. We had the company of friendly ducks and saw a blue heron! The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. Thanks for a great vacation, Mark!"

  • Family Gathering

"We stayed at this large, beautiful home for our daughter's graduation from Wesleyan. This was the perfect home for our extended family ~ close to shopping, the Hartford airport, West Hartford and only 35 minutes to campus! The home was very well equipped, especially the kitchen; there was lots of comfortable living space and wonderful outdoor space; the property was outstanding ~ located in a private area looking over a golf course. The home owners were delightful to work with!"

  • Sweet, quiet little spot!

"Even at the height of the high season in August, our weekday sojourn in the cabin was quiet and peaceful -- we barely saw a soul! We enjoyed swimming in both lakes, tromping through the woods, and just soaking up the silence and birdsong on the deck. Nothing fancy, this is just a comfortable, homey cabin in the woods that was perfect for two families. The owner was responsive to all requests. Note that this feels like the middle of nowhere -- you are not close to stores or shops of any kind, so bring what you need."

  • Litchfield wedding

"Very quiet street. Nice for a quiet getaway. Little stuffy when we first arrived but after opening windows for few mins the stuffy smell went away. Very clean I have dust allergies and can't stand places with ton of dust. Had everything that we needed in kitchen. Bedding and beds both very comfortable. Very homey environment! Only suggestion would be adding a mirror to bedroom with couch. We were getting ready for a wedding and could of used a mirror in each bedroom. Within walking distance to Main Street."
