  • Lovely Vacation Home

"We just returned from a wonderful week at Angela's vacation home. We spent the mornings on the beautiful TREK deck sipping coffee on the comfortable , roomy, cushioned outdoor furniture. Mid mornings thru the afternoon were spent on the lake. Kayaks were supplied,. In addition we trailered our boat up so we were able to get some waterskiing in. The Lake house is extremely accommodating. Plenty of room for all, and the kitchen is fully stocked. The outdoor shower is a major plus with both hot and cold water. Late afternoons were spent bbq ing on the deck and visiting the many nearby shops. We even had massages at the nearby massage parlor up the road. We went out for lunch once at Mrs. Murphy's and breakfast once at Red Riding Hood's, both great finds. We shopped at Job Lot, country stores, groceries at nearby Big Y. We relaxed on the deck during the evenings and played cards in the sun room. Angela was wonderful to work with and we throughly enjoyed our vacation."

  • Great Labor Day Weekend Getaway!

"We stayed at Tim's lake property for Labor Day weekend. We live about 25 minutes away but wanted to get away for the last weekend of summer. My family of 2 adults and 3 kids and our friend's family of 2 adults and 2 kids had plenty of choices for sleeping space and we managed to survive three days sharing one bathroom with five teenagers. No small feat! The house was immaculate when we arrived and the beds were made and a bin of bath clean towels was waiting for us. We brought kayaks, a paddleboard and tubes and spent many hours swimming, paddling and floating in the warm, clean water of the North Pond. The neighbors were very friendly and we met all of the neighborhood dogs too! Kids fished off the dock and caught small sunfish with worms. They fed the ducks who swam by and generally had a ball. The kitchen had lots of pots and pans for cooking and we used the gas grill on the deck several times. We made a fire in the fire bowl on a couple of nights and sat down by the water toasting marshmallows and sipping adult beverages. If you come, make sure to bring your own lawn chairs/beach chairs. It's about a 5 minutes walk to Louie B's - a local restaurant/bar with live music on the lake. We stopped by a couple of times :-) Package stores, Big-Y, Dunkin Donuts and Ocean State Job Lot are all nearby (under 10 minutes) as well. Since we were so close, we had friends and parents stop by for a meal on Saturday and others on Sunday and there was plenty of space to park a couple of extra cars. Tim, the owner, stopped by when we first arrived to say hello (his house is a couple of doors down) and overall was very helpful and pleasant throughout our stay. We really enjoyed the property and would return!"

  • Hartford Gem

"This house was in perfect proximity to downtown Hartford (20 minutes) and was incredibly appointed. The kitchen was so well stocked, you'll think you are at home. The layout is inviting and we spent our time in the kitchen and tv area, with a roaring fire. Added extras included a welcome basket and reading material. Patty wrote a book! If we ever head back to the Hartford area, this is our spot! Thanks for making our time super comfortable."
