  • Perfect

"This was our second stay at Hyatt house. Our grown children and their families, a total of nine, fit in to the house with no problem. We have felt very much at home in the house from the beginning. The beach is wonderful for everyone, front screened in porch is the best place to sit anytime of day( my husband actually slept out there a couple nights and loved it), outdoor shower the best, I don't think anyone took a shower inside, the beds are comfortable and room for all at the dining room table. The kitchen may be small but we manage just fine and has everything you'll need. Only thing we missed was some seating in the back yard for barbecues on the grill. Also be prepared for a long walk from the driveway to the house when unloading or loading your car. A wagon of some sort would be helpful if you can fit one in. Don't forget to check out The Stand across from Lenny's. Good barbecue and an easy walk in the morning to have a cup of coffee and some yummy sweet bread or a great breakfast sandwich from the food truck. Not to mention the fresh veggies. We look forward to making this our annual family vacation spot. Thx Martin!"

  • Wonderful family retreat!

"We stayed in this home for six wonderful days and nights. The owner was there to great us and give us a quick tour when we arrived. The property has everything you could possibly need. It is extremely comfortable and clean with plenty of rooms for privacy or togetherness. The neighborhood is wonderful and friendly. We meet many neighbors and felt very welcomed! You can not go wrong staying here."

  • Unplugged, But Not Remote

"My husband and I needed to unplug. So, we spent the latter part of September at Ennis Cottage – a home-away-from home: comfy, cozy, clean, and well-equipped, cool during the hot spell, and warmed when weather turned cool. The bed, very important for my bad back, was totally comfortable and provided a really restful sleep. The cordial and conscientious owners provided a binder with answers to almost all the questions guests usually ask. Yet they were available to answer queries. A private beach across the street offered a super place to enjoy the fresh air, sunshine, and a great swim. Yet not far away was a wide selection of restaurants, plus great markets for fresh fish, meat and vegetables. Although we did check our e-mail daily, the tv remained untouched. So much to enjoy. The time flew, and it was hard to leave. Our thanks to the friendly and caring owners for doing everything to make us eager to return."

  • Cozy family Christmas

"We chose this house because of location in CT. We had easy access to some very lovely New England towns while we were there. We had a great time visiting New Haven (walked the Yale campus) and drove over to Mystic CT one day and had lunch at the famous Mystic Pizza! This was delightful! The house is within walking distance to the seashore and also the charming downtown area with its delightful assortment of restaurants, shops, etc. We had a very large party at the house...6 adults and 4 small children and we had plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed the cozy family room and warm fires every day! The big dining room was perfect for our Christmas dinner. We enjoyed the hot tub outside every evening as well. The owner and property manager are very nice. As we came across some issues, they were responsive and fair in handling these. They even allowed us to "rumage" through the basement to find decorations for the Christmas tree we wanted to have. There are lots of toys and games and books on hand for all ages. The house is part of a very old (150+ years) historic district. So, even though it has been nicely modernized, it is a very old house. The kitchens and baths are all updated and the heating system worked very well. I would recommend this house for any group for any group or family that would like to enjoy a real New England setting!"
