  • Comfortable and Convenient

"We (two couples) were visiting Litchfield County for a few days for leisure and this house was a perfect location. The house, Stone-Pecha, is not only equipped with anything you could need or want, but also well-appointed with beautiful and whimsical artwork, making the house a warm place to settle in each night. We found ourselves lingering over morning coffee on the back deck and reconvening there for the nighttime sky. The house sits at the end of a short street, and looks out onto a wooded area. Although there are houses close by, it’s very quiet and peaceful. The house is accurately portrayed in the VRBO descriptions and Sharyn was responsive and helpful. The house is just a short walk to the town center where you’ll find numerous restaurant choices and local retailers. Litchfield was a great jumping off point for our site-seeing ventures. We enjoyed beautiful hikes, scenic drives, farmstand stops and some great local ice cream and cheese! I would not hesitate to stay in this property again. It was lovely."

  • great weekend getaway

"Perfect cabin interior, nice view of the lake from the big sliders, ample space inside. But outside needs a gas grill! Sure the built in wood fire cooker is nice, but if youre out an about all day or getting in late one evening, its nice to just fire up a grill real quick. Otherwise we had a blast. Thanks!"

  • Becket80

"We rented this to celebrate my sister's 80th birthday. My brother's and daughter's family joined us as well with each family staying 3 days sequentially. An extremely clean and well equipped facility with the added advantage of the owners living next door. They were never intrusive but responded immediately to all our requests for information and household queries including driving to farm outlets. A pretty and well lighted great room with adjacent deck containing a large grill. Modern kitchen was well equipped. Location is fantastic with tourist notables within a short driving distance. The elderly enjoyed Tanglewood, Norman Rockwell Museum, Shaker Village and outlet mall. Younger family with five and 10 year old grands hiked, enjoyed water sports and visited the Mass Museum of Contemporary Art. Wished we had more than a week for we could have done much more such as Jacob's Pillow. Rob and Julia are gracious and supportive hosts. Hope to stay again."

  • Wonderful and relaxing get away!

"We absolutely loved this house! The house was clean and large, with plenty of room for our big family. The view from the porch is lovely, and the pond was fantastic for swimming, boating, and fishing. We especially loved the peace and quiet, it was incredibly relaxing. Thanks so much!"
