  • Comfortable and Convenient

"We (two couples) were visiting Litchfield County for a few days for leisure and this house was a perfect location. The house, Stone-Pecha, is not only equipped with anything you could need or want, but also well-appointed with beautiful and whimsical artwork, making the house a warm place to settle in each night. We found ourselves lingering over morning coffee on the back deck and reconvening there for the nighttime sky. The house sits at the end of a short street, and looks out onto a wooded area. Although there are houses close by, it’s very quiet and peaceful. The house is accurately portrayed in the VRBO descriptions and Sharyn was responsive and helpful. The house is just a short walk to the town center where you’ll find numerous restaurant choices and local retailers. Litchfield was a great jumping off point for our site-seeing ventures. We enjoyed beautiful hikes, scenic drives, farmstand stops and some great local ice cream and cheese! I would not hesitate to stay in this property again. It was lovely."

  • Family Gathering

"We stayed at this large, beautiful home for our daughter's graduation from Wesleyan. This was the perfect home for our extended family ~ close to shopping, the Hartford airport, West Hartford and only 35 minutes to campus! The home was very well equipped, especially the kitchen; there was lots of comfortable living space and wonderful outdoor space; the property was outstanding ~ located in a private area looking over a golf course. The home owners were delightful to work with!"

  • A week to remember on Highland Lake

"The photos for this property do not do it justice. It sits right on the lake, at its quietest edge. When the sun rises in the morning, there is a wonderful pink glow to the sky. As the sun gets high enough over the hills to touch the lake, mist rises from the water. The start of the day was just magical, especially when one paddled out on the house kayak onto the calmest waters ever! Meanwhile, the house is very nice. The beds were quite comfy. The kitchen was fully operational and there were two refrigerators that let us stock up for the week. We entertained as many at 15 at a barbecue and ping pong table "tournament." There were card games on the second story patio and at the dining table, duck and fish feeding off the dock, floating on the tubes that came with the house, and lounging in the grass yard. Meanwhile, Marc, the owner was very attentive. It was a great way for an extended family to spend a memorable vacation."

  • Great Getaway

"We came here for a holiday weekend with friends and kids. the View and yard alone are WORTH EVERY BIT. The house is comfortable and roomy, a little dated (TVs, air conditioners, etc) but perfectly lovely for a group and awesome for small kids who enjoy the outside and have plenty of room inside to run around. Owners were super easy to work with and house was well stocked. Area well located to grocery shops, fruit picking/farms and other activities. We would LOVE to come back soon."
