  • Wonderful house for entertaining

"I hosted my mom's 90th birthday at this house. There were 25 people and it had ample seating for everyone between inside the house and the table on the deck. Loved the personal touches of the flowers in the vase, the toiletries and bathrobes in each of the bedrooms, the coffee cake, chocolates, and bread. There were ample platters and bowls for serving all the food. My only negative comment was housekeepers needed to up their game a little bit more. But we would love to rent again when we could take advantage of the lake activities."

  • Halloween Weekend Fun!

"Great house! Connie was a great and attentive host. She texted about 2 hours after we had arrived to make sure everything was as expected. I went with 4 other couples (10 people) for a relaxing weekend and we were not disappointed. It was almost as if we were staying in a hotel with all the towels, beautifully decorated beds and rooms; the house exceeded the description in my opinion and it was so clean! The bathrooms blew me away, and the master bedroom had the best view of the lake every morning. Fully stocked kitchen, perfect for large groups who like to cook. Best weekend - we will definitely rent again!"

  • A beautiful peaceful lake home with all the amenities!

"Our family just completed a week long rental of both the upstairs and downstairs units. The lake is just beautiful, the visiting ducks and chipmunks were delightful and the sense of peace and calm was just what the doctor ordered. While he went out rowing and fishing (he says that this the best fresh water spot he's ever fished -- even caught a chain pickerel!), we bbq'ed on a great new grill; I sat and read and enjoyed the scenery and forgot about everything. The units are spotless and well maintained; having a washer and dryer is a boon - and I'll bet the upstairs fireplace makes for a cozy autumn night! Great for a family or for a couple too. Robert, the owner, could not have been more accommodating and responsive and there's a feeling that he'll be Johnny on the spot if anything needs tending to. Folks who had stayed previously always managed to leave behind spices, coffee filters, dish washing liquid, storage containers so it almost felt like you knew them and wanted to pay it forward. It was probably the best getaway that we've ever had -- and a little over an hour away from home. Pack your bags, hit the supermarket and unwind at Whaley Lake which the owner lovingly has renamed Lake Bliss! We intend to be Lake Bliss recidivists!"

  • Charming

"Charming chalet. Had everything we needed. Quiet and very scenic. Not very baby friendly with cables and plugs everywhere, but regardless of running after baby, we still had a very pleasant stay."
