  • Wonderful bright and cozy weekend getaway!

"With a large group from Brooklyn (10 kids, 10 adults) we are in an annual search for the perfect home to accommodate our growing families for a weekend getaway. I think we finally found the right place for each family to fit comfortably. The kitchen is great to cook in, the living areas are huge and have cozy furniture. The grounds are great and picturesque at every turn, good for adventure and the trampoline was a hit. We went hiking at nearby Mt Tom, went to get pumpkins at March Farms and finished with a walk around the Litchfield Boardwalk. This house was perfect and we look forward to coming again."

  • cute house with lots of space

"We liked the house very much and the bottle of wine that greeted us when we arrived. The house is comfortable with lots of space and hidden away. Very quiet with a huge deck in the back. You can see the lake through the trees and the beach is right on the bottom of the hill, walking distance . Coming back up it's a bit of a hike. Good for exercise that all of us need. I was especially impressed with the kitchen. There was every gadget that you can think of including a blender. if you don't want to go out all the time to eat you will also love the many spices available. There is shopping and many restaurants near by. The town of New Milford has a lot of charm. The owner Neil is very accommodating and his lovely wife Chris planted beautiful flowers all around the outside front and deck. The property is very clean and orderly. Will definitely keep this one on my list for next summer and will recommend to our friends that are heading in that direction. M&J"

  • MAGNIFICENT HOME

"Eden Farm was indeed a home away from home. Our family was thrilled with the entire property, the grounds, bedrooms, the five star kitchen. Everything was perfect. The description posted on the sight was accurate regarding the location, amenities, the grounds. What the listing did not say, is that once you step foot in Eden Farm you did not want to leave. We were in town for our daughter's wedding and needed a place where the entire family could stay and it was the perfect location. The grounds were picturesque, the beds were super soft and comfortable, when we laid our heads down to sleep it was heaven. We have told our friends and family so much about Eden Farm that they want to come too. You will definitely see us very soon in the near future. Thank you so much Debbie for taking good care of us. Regards to your husband and son. I asked my daughter to find the bitter melon for you. See you soon Eden Farm"

  • Fabulous Birthday Getaway

"My boyfriend and I recently spent 4 wonderful days at Hatch Pond to celebrate my birthday and had the most lovely time. The Kent area is BEAUTIFUL! Everything was perfect and stress free and it was easy to get to from NYC. Tons of activities to keep us entertained like kayaking/canoeing on Hatch Pond and hiking on the Appalachian trail. The town of Kent is cute too and has shops and restaurants, but we really enjoyed just being in the cottage cooking, relaxing and unplugging from the world (though there is a TV with cable if you want!). The cottage itself is great and well maintained--tons of modern fixtures, wifi, comfy beds and kitchen gadgets while still retaining a real country feel and charm. Even though it was summer it felt cool inside with the fans that we didn't even really use the window cooler. Huge bonus is the amazing garden that Michael, the owner, maintains. Nothing beats walking outside and picking some fresh basil right off the stalk and making a delicious pesto. Speaking of Michael, he is the best!!! He met us at the house, gave us the tour, told us about some of the local highlights and was there as needed. It's really obvious how much he loves the house and the Kent area, all of the great antiques lovingly displayed in the cottage are handpicked by him. You can even visit his antique shop The Bunkhouse to pick up a little treasure of your own to take home. Overall, highly recommend this gem, would love to go back!"
