  • Perfect spot!

"We recently spent a week at this charming, vintage cottage with our two year old grandson. The beach and location could not be beat! He loved it and so did we. The living room can be opened up to the screened in porch by a set of French doors, making you feel as if you're on the beach even when you're inside. The beach itself was beautiful, quiet and so clean. The owner was very helpful and prompt in answering any questions. We will definitely consider a return to this perfect spot!"

  • Great beach house for the price!

"This cozy little home is perfect for a family getaway to the connecticut coastline. My family and I stayed here while we waited to close on our new house and it was perfect for us. The house was clean and well functioning."

  • Even better than we had hoped . . .

"We decided to surprise my mom for a last minute Christmas reunion. We selected this house because of it's convenient location to our friends and family (and the beach even though it was wintertime). We moved to Texas more than 10 years ago and we really miss the beach. Anyway, the house was lovely; well-appointed, nicely decorated, including linens and towels and even things like herbs and spices were well-stocked. It made stepping in really simple for us. The layout is great. There are essentially 2 living rooms, so if anyone is a night owl or an early riser, they can hang out in the room that is away from the bedrooms. Even better was the attention we were given. We arrived to a thoughtful basket of goodies which included yummy homemade cookies (a family tradition). Then, my youngest was exploring the house and noticed a leak in the basement. I called Meg and she was right on top of it. In fact, she was so quick we actually asked if she could delay the plumber a few hours just so we could sleep in (since we were on vacation after all). Of course she agreed (and the plumber was a really nice guy, too). We even made the inauspicious mistake of locking the keys in the house, but Meg was available at a moment's notice to help avert this disaster. Well, it really wouldn't have been a disaster, but that doesn't mean she wasn't great. As you can see, I have nothing but nice things to say about the house and more importantly about the owners. We would definitely look to rent here again, but based on this review it will probably be in such high demand that we'll never get the chance :)"

  • Fantastic stay!!!

"My husband and I stayed at this beautiful home for a month in between selling our home in CT and moving to FL. The home was well-stocked, beautifully decorated, quiet and secluded yet close to everything on the CT shoreline. Because we were moving the home served as a lovely setting to connect with friends and family before we left. Fenwick is a magical place with so much history and charm. People were friendly and welcoming; we loved driving the golf cart around the community and walking or biking across the causeway, to the marina and downtown. The golf course is right next to the property and the beach is close by. The views from the patio area are magnificent. Penelope was so responsive and accommodating - this is becoming our home away from home in CT!"
