  • Magical Rowayton Cottage

"We have spent multiple weeks the past 3 summers in the wonderful home. It is absolutely immaculate and charming in every way. It has everything you need to relax and enjoy a home away from home. It is walking distance to the village for restaurants and shops as well as close access to the train and highway. The owner is amazingly responsive and a lovely person. We feel so lucky to be able to share this lovely home while visiting CT in the summertime. We look forward to many more summers."

  • Idyllic, peaceful corner of CT

"We spent 8 nights at this perfectly lovely cottage and could have stayed much longer, maybe a few months. It is in the most perfect location, a large private lot right on the Housatonic River. There is lots of room to sit outdoors and admire the scenic river or stay indoors in the very comfy living area. Although it was 90 degrees most days, I was eyeing the fireplace and wishing it were colder. The bedroom was spacious, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom huge, housing a very convenient washer and dryer. Everything was very clean and in perfect working order. Kitchen was small but absolutely fully stocked. The nicest aspect of this house, other than the privacy and peacefulness, was that it was clearly a working house that someone lives in regularly with everything anyone would need to get along. We loved it to death and hope to go back, this time with our bicycles, for another week in fall or spring. It is a very beautiful corner of CT."

  • Perfect

"This was our second stay at Hyatt house. Our grown children and their families, a total of nine, fit in to the house with no problem. We have felt very much at home in the house from the beginning. The beach is wonderful for everyone, front screened in porch is the best place to sit anytime of day( my husband actually slept out there a couple nights and loved it), outdoor shower the best, I don't think anyone took a shower inside, the beds are comfortable and room for all at the dining room table. The kitchen may be small but we manage just fine and has everything you'll need. Only thing we missed was some seating in the back yard for barbecues on the grill. Also be prepared for a long walk from the driveway to the house when unloading or loading your car. A wagon of some sort would be helpful if you can fit one in. Don't forget to check out The Stand across from Lenny's. Good barbecue and an easy walk in the morning to have a cup of coffee and some yummy sweet bread or a great breakfast sandwich from the food truck. Not to mention the fresh veggies. We look forward to making this our annual family vacation spot. Thx Martin!"

  • Away-from-it-all cottage with delightful grounds and access to historic towns

"We loved spending time at the cottage, which dates from the 18th century (I think), and has been in the owner's family for many generations. The back deck overlooks woods, a pond, and lawns with old fruit trees. Inside, the cottage is like a very elegant house in miniature -- and with real antiques. We stayed only for a long weekend, but the quiet of the place rejuvenated us and made us feel we had really been "away." Also, we really enjoyed the private tennis court, set amid trees and grass."
