"Had a wedding in nearby saltwater vineyards. The hotel the bride and groom picked in nearby mystic was very expensive, so I figured why not a house for a week?
The view is wonderful. Sunset is great, a short walk to playground, and the stonington beach is about a ten minute walk. You are close to all restaraunts (noahs, milagros, water St cafe, and dog watch). Fourth of july, we just stayed on the third floor and watched three different fireworks shows. Parking is street parking, but always found a spot.
The house is old, as the owner states. They said kids are welcome, but I was a little uneasy with our three year old. The balcony is great, but I can see our kid falling off. But it turns out she was ok. Under three, I wouldn't feel so comfortable.
The set up is weird. They give us three beds, one queen, one full, and one twin. When our friend visited with her two kids, she shared the queen with her kids. Either my wife slept with our kid on the full, or I did, and the other took the twin. If you anticipate having two families, this may be tough because the beds are so small. I would suggest to the owners to get bigger beds.
The place is old, so expect squeaks and what not when you walk. Didn't bother us though. The furniture is old and antique like. Its charming. The owners are extremely nice and helpful too. When staying on the third floor, use the elevator. Those stairs are killer.
Overall, would come back again."
