  • Pleasing Property.

"We were very happy with this property. The house is well maintained and clean. The open kitchen/dining/living area was well appointed and let in plenty of sunshine. It felt very private. It is not a typical New England house. It was perfect for us as we tend to favor contemporary homes. We were unsure about what, if any, supplies we needed for the kitchen. There was no dish soap or dishwasher detergent. Also, no extra trash bags. Not really an issue. If we were staying long term we would have bought some. We borrowed from relatives we were visiting. Dishes, pots and pans, etc. were well supplied. There were 3 bedrooms with good sized closets: master bedroom with king bed and en suite bathroom on the second floor; 2 bedrooms on the first level with a shared bathroom between. One bedroom has a queen bed. The other has a twin with a pull out, which we was great once we figured it out. The property indicates sleeping for 7 but we are unsure where the 7th person would sleep. There are many sofas but none appear to convert to a bed. The owner provided good customer service. We would definitely recommend this property and would love to rent it again if the opportunity arises."

  • Just what we needed!

"Our family of 4 stayed for 2 weeks while we waited to close on a home in the area. The home was clean, dressers were empty and there was space made in the closets. The owner was very responsive. When we have family come to visit Alan will be our first call."

  • Cozy loft on a beautiful farm

"I stayed in this lovely loft on a beautiful farm for four nights when I came to NW connecticut to visit my mother and loved it. As luck would have it, my stay coincided with a blizzard that dumped more than two feet of snow. I was cozy and snug in the loft in the farmhouse, only going out to stomp around in the snow in the woods and around the pond in the snow. I only wish my wife could have been there with me to enjoy being snowed in. The young family that owns the farm are very friendly and helpful, doing things above and beyond like letting me park my car in their barn and digging the driveway before the plow came for the driveway so I could get my car out and go see my mother. Highly recommended!"

  • Great Place

"Our families had a perfect week. The beach is perfect for small children at low tide and the house is close to all the stores and shops of Old Saybrook, but far enough away for peace and quiet."
