  • Lovely beach condo!

"Our family (4 adults, a 4 yr old and a 9 month old) spent the week at this lovely Salt Pond Condo. The location is quiet, nature-filled and within minutes of anything you could need (three grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, etc.) We had read that the condo was well-equipped, and that was accurate! Not only was it nicely decorated, we felt like we were staying at someone's HOME - not a vacation home. Appliances were new and high quality, the notes and binders with local and condo info were great. We found the residents of the Salt Pond to be friendly and the pool to be very nice. My grandfather lived in this neighborhood for 17 years until his passing, which is one if the reason we chose the community. We knew the community and amenities and wanted our kids to make new memories here. Our son loved the bunk beds, my in-laws loved the first floor master bedroom suite and we loved the TONS of books (for grown ups and kids) DVDs and the decor. The condo was well-maintained and the owners were very responsive and kind - responding even while out of the country! Our son caught his first fish (and a crab!) - all great memories that we will have to add to mine as a young girl. Nearby are bike/walking trails, kayaking, state parks, and of course the inlet for fishing."

  • Perfect family beach vacation house

"We had never been to the Delmarva coast before, so we weren't sure what to expect in the way of accommodations, neighborhood, or beach quality. Fortunately, 21 Bridge Road gave us a great experience in all three! The house has central air and double paned windows, which was essential - there was an excessive heat advisory in place during our entire stay. Renting this house entitles you to use the private, lifeguarded Middlesex Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches I've visited in the continental U.S. Since only residents (or renters) in the Middlesex Beach neighborhood are allowed to use it, the beach is never crowded - even on an August weekend. The house is an easy, three block walk to the beach, and is outfitted with beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas, sand toys and a boogie board. If you're looking for a pub crawl or a jumping beach party scene, Middlesex Beach is probably not your best choice - it's laid-back, family-friendly, and it was pretty quiet the week we were there, so it suited our vacation style perfectly. The house is great for two or more families travelling together, as three of the four bedrooms are separated from the rest of the house by the patio (only the loft bedroom is connected with the living room and kitchen area). The owner is polite, responsive, and ready to make sure your stay is enjoyable. We are already planning our return next summer!"

  • So peaceful but close to the beach

"We really enjoyed staying at this beach house! The new addition is lovely, and the older part is really quaint and well laid out and decorated! We especially liked the two separate bedrooms off of the porch, the kids loved them too, still close but sort of apart from the adults. It was very peaceful sitting on the screened in porch, one morning we even saw a Mama deer and her two fawns right outside the porch! it was also lovely to have so many different areas to hang out in. The house was well stocked with the basics and we loved the fact that we didn't need to bring beach chairs or a wagon, or a beach umbrella, or boogie boards! And the location was perfect, close enough that we could walk to the private beach but far enough so that it was very quiet. Didn't really realize how nice it was to have access to a private beach till we got there, not so many people which was awesome!"

  • We Keep Going Back!

"This house is in a private location but is in walking distance to the beach. There is plenty of room for parking. The sleeping accommodations are well thought out - four single beds and three large beds. We love all the porches that allow for some privacy or just a quiet place to read. The open living/kitchen area is appreciated. We also utilize the large outside table where we enjoy our morning coffee together. Our family keeps growing (infants to senior citizens) and every year we all vote to return to the same house."
