  • #1 Addy Rd was a WONDERFUL stay!

"We greatly enjoyed our stay at #1 Addy Rd! The home is beautiful, and we loved the setting among the shade of the trees at the end of the street, tucked away nicely from the hustle and bustle. Our two teen/pre-teen boys shared the loft and adored it. It gave them a nice spot to escape from the grown-ups in the evenings to watch TV and "hang out". The layout of the downstairs bedrooms is simply wonderful! Such a clever layout with the master in the front of the house having direct access to a toilet/sink, and the two bedrooms in the back of the house on the lower level also having their own toilet/sink. Then, all three share a shower in the middle. While the loft had its own full bathroom. Very nice and easy set up for various family members - provided nice privacy. Also LOVED the outdoor shower. PLENTY of bikes & beach chairs to share. The home and grounds are beautifully maintained. One of our family members noted that it was so nice because it felt like a mix of a beach vacation and a cabin-style vacation in the woods. Such a perfect combo! ALL of the bedrooms have direct access to their own deck. Plenty of games, book, and lovely art to enjoy in this home. NICE set-up downstairs with the open concept between the ample seating in the living room & dining room, while being able to talk to those cooking up something delicious in the small kitchen. Can't gush enough about this home!!! The pictures simply do not do it justice. The drive to the private beach of Middlesex was a short hop across Coastal Highway. Nice security, easy to park, and courteous staff at the beach. The best part is how very few folks are on the beach. So nice to sit with our family & not be rubbing elbows with the next family. Plenty of room to spread out. Lovely for all three generations that came along on our trip (parents, children, and grandparents). In addition to how lovely the stay was, the owners are simply marvelous to deal with. Kind, courteous, and promptly responding to any questions. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your home is lovely, and we appreciate you sharing it with us."

  • Property is very nice and secluded. Not too far from the beach on a quiet street.

"My experience was extremely good, except the Internet occasionally posed problems by signing me on and off. Perhaps it was me who was at fault. The beach for the Middlesex community is very nice and private, especially in the off-season when I visited. Overall, it was a very good experience."

  • Perfect family beach vacation house

"We had never been to the Delmarva coast before, so we weren't sure what to expect in the way of accommodations, neighborhood, or beach quality. Fortunately, 21 Bridge Road gave us a great experience in all three! The house has central air and double paned windows, which was essential - there was an excessive heat advisory in place during our entire stay. Renting this house entitles you to use the private, lifeguarded Middlesex Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches I've visited in the continental U.S. Since only residents (or renters) in the Middlesex Beach neighborhood are allowed to use it, the beach is never crowded - even on an August weekend. The house is an easy, three block walk to the beach, and is outfitted with beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas, sand toys and a boogie board. If you're looking for a pub crawl or a jumping beach party scene, Middlesex Beach is probably not your best choice - it's laid-back, family-friendly, and it was pretty quiet the week we were there, so it suited our vacation style perfectly. The house is great for two or more families travelling together, as three of the four bedrooms are separated from the rest of the house by the patio (only the loft bedroom is connected with the living room and kitchen area). The owner is polite, responsive, and ready to make sure your stay is enjoyable. We are already planning our return next summer!"

  • Great Vacation House

"Our family had an excellent stay at this property. The house is set on a very quiet dead-end street among stands of beautiful pine trees that provide lots of great shade. We've stayed in busier downtown Bethany in years past and really enjoyed the change of pace that this home offers. The house has a really unique layout with the huge screened in porch serving as a central hang out location between two completely separate wings of the home. That worked out great for us with kids and grandparents occupying their own side of the house each morning. The home was just renovated and all of the beds and other furniture were very comfortable and brand new. The kitchen is on the small side but very well stocked with all the essentials. And with a generously sized gas grill on the back patio (strategically located next to the bocce pit) we grilled out most nights. It's an easy and pleasant walk to the beach despite having to cross Route 1. The owners thoughtfully provided a cart for easily transporting everything to and from the beach. Access to the private beach was great--loads of room for the kids to spread out without having to worry about tossing sand on a neighbor. There are some restaurants, an ice cream shop, and a produce market within easy walking distance and downtown Bethany is just a mile away. The owners were as nice and as responsive as could be and have done a superb job of setting the house up with games, sand toys, and other great conveniences that make it feel very much like home. We're already thinking about our return trip. Thanks Pam!"
