  • Lovely beach condo!

"Our family (4 adults, a 4 yr old and a 9 month old) spent the week at this lovely Salt Pond Condo. The location is quiet, nature-filled and within minutes of anything you could need (three grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, etc.) We had read that the condo was well-equipped, and that was accurate! Not only was it nicely decorated, we felt like we were staying at someone's HOME - not a vacation home. Appliances were new and high quality, the notes and binders with local and condo info were great. We found the residents of the Salt Pond to be friendly and the pool to be very nice. My grandfather lived in this neighborhood for 17 years until his passing, which is one if the reason we chose the community. We knew the community and amenities and wanted our kids to make new memories here. Our son loved the bunk beds, my in-laws loved the first floor master bedroom suite and we loved the TONS of books (for grown ups and kids) DVDs and the decor. The condo was well-maintained and the owners were very responsive and kind - responding even while out of the country! Our son caught his first fish (and a crab!) - all great memories that we will have to add to mine as a young girl. Nearby are bike/walking trails, kayaking, state parks, and of course the inlet for fishing."

  • Perfect family beach vacation house

"We had never been to the Delmarva coast before, so we weren't sure what to expect in the way of accommodations, neighborhood, or beach quality. Fortunately, 21 Bridge Road gave us a great experience in all three! The house has central air and double paned windows, which was essential - there was an excessive heat advisory in place during our entire stay. Renting this house entitles you to use the private, lifeguarded Middlesex Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches I've visited in the continental U.S. Since only residents (or renters) in the Middlesex Beach neighborhood are allowed to use it, the beach is never crowded - even on an August weekend. The house is an easy, three block walk to the beach, and is outfitted with beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas, sand toys and a boogie board. If you're looking for a pub crawl or a jumping beach party scene, Middlesex Beach is probably not your best choice - it's laid-back, family-friendly, and it was pretty quiet the week we were there, so it suited our vacation style perfectly. The house is great for two or more families travelling together, as three of the four bedrooms are separated from the rest of the house by the patio (only the loft bedroom is connected with the living room and kitchen area). The owner is polite, responsive, and ready to make sure your stay is enjoyable. We are already planning our return next summer!"

  • Our Fourth Stay at Bethany Pines

"Like other reviewers, we are grandparents. We join our children and grandchildren annually at Bethany Pines and rent 2-3 houses. Trust me: There are advantages to having our own units to retreat to at the end of each day! Tom was very easy to work with and responded quickly to my questions. His house differs from others we have rented in that 2 of the 3 bedrooms have queen size beds and the third room has a double and a fold out sleep sofa (the house we rented last year had a pair of twins in 2 of the 3 bedrooms.) Another plus is that this house is one of few in Bethany Pines with a fireplace - enhancing the decor and the mantle provides an out-of-reach surface to hide things from grandchildren. Bethany Pines is quiet and private - but an easy and invigorating walk to the beach and town. We are comfortable allowing the children to ride their bikes around the compound and the centrally-located pool is a much-enjoyed centerpiece of the development. The house is fully-equipped and it even had a pack-and-play. Tips: Don't hesitate to call Tom to report any maintenance issues during your stay; we made the mistake of waiting until we returned home to report a running toilet that could have been easily-remedied :(. Also, as with ANY rental house, bring your own SHARP knives from home if you intend to do any serious food prep. We would not hesitate to rent this house again."

  • We all had a enjoyable and trouble free vacation at your pond side home. Will be back. Marty

"Comfortable and scenic quiet and private location. Clean and everything worked. Weather was perfect. People and staff were all friendly. My son, his friend and my brother in law rode bikes everywhere on safe paths. I played a lot of tennis as I had in the past and Tom and his instructors were veiq"
