  • Worked great and provides plenty of space

"This was our first trip to Bethany Beach and the condo was a great way to spend our time. The place is comfortable, updated, and provides the right amount of living space to enjoy with friends or family. Others we met on the trip that had been coming to Sea Colony for a number of rears said they had issues with prior rentals, we felt very fortunate that our first trip was in a home that is treated like a home and was perfect for us. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it as a great option in the Sea Colony resort. Nice pool close by, tram stop on the corner, close to the ocean, close to the fitness center...not much else you can ask for! Stay here and enjoy!"

  • Bethany Beach Condo

"The property was a well-maintained condo. It was well stocked with everything you would need for a great vacation. It was clean, and comfortably fit all seven of us. We could have easily brought another person and still been comfortable. We loved that it was stocked with all kinds of movies and games. They came in handy on a rainy evening. In some ways the location was great, in others it was a surprise. The few steps to the beach entail crossing a major highway, and it's more than a few steps. There is a crossing signal. Once you get to the beach, you have access to everything Sea Colonies, which includes swimming pools, and rest rooms, so really once you're there, you're not going to need to return to the condo frequently. Once you return to the condo, you don't have that sand all around, which is nice. In my family right now we have no small children or elderly people, so it was no big deal, even though it wasn't quite what I thought it would be. Our family will be growing and even with small children, the trek wouldn't be bad, just so we came prepared, and the price compared to the beachfront absolutely makes it worth figuring out. Sea Colonies is like a little city, almost. It was huge. I had no idea. There were a lot of pools and one of them was right across the way from our condo.. It was great-- not crowded at all, and so convenient and quiet. Sea Colonies also has a little strip of shops that everyone wants at the beach--coffee and ice cream shops and a pizza place, as well as a place to buy beach paraphernalia. This was just a short, pleasant walk from our condo. They also have a great restaurant within walking distance with an outside deck, which we really enjoyed. The private beach is a lot less crowded than the public one. We were there for the Fourth of July, and walked down to see the fireworks on the beach. It was gorgeous. I would absolutely recommend that time of the summer just for that reason. I would recommend this property for people who want that great beach vacation on a bit of a budget, just because of the distance from the ocean. But as I kept telling my family, the ocean is a lot closer to you here than it is back home, and we didn't break the bank, which was nice when we had to return home and get back to real life."

  • Fantastic for large groups looking for an authentic and luxurious beach experience

"We just hosted a family reunion over Memorial Weekend at this place, and it was just perfect! The house itself is thoughtfully designed for entertaining large families. Everything from the two story family room with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the sea, to a beautiful deck ideal for gathering to a well appointed kitchen, and finally plenty bedrooms, many with balconies overlooking the sea. And yes, the hot tub worked marvelously to wear out travel fatigue for our out-of-state guests. The property management company, especially Christine, was very helpful in ensuring we had an overall smooth experience. Just two examples of how resourceful: she was nice enough to show us the place while we were still looking to select a venue for our reunion, and she arranged for linen, towel, and beach chair rental for an extra price delivered straight to the place, thus maximizing our precious vacation time spent at the beach house. All in all, we would be thrilled to come back here for another reunion!"

  • Amazingly Chill Beach Getaway

"First off, Liz is great. I had a situation wherein another HomeAway property was made unavailable just 4 days prior to the date I had booked it. This place we had was pet friendly and this left me scrambling to find a place that was both pet-friendly and one that could fit 8 people comfortably. Not the easiest task. Yes, HomeAway itself made it easier but Liz could not have been more responsive. Emailing me from a whole other country during the holiday season in order to get everything set up, she was a pleasure to deal with, a life saver and all around good person. If you have the opportunity to rent a place from Liz do it..... DO IT NOW! As for the home itself. It was everything we needed and more. Cool location at the back of a community located close enough to restaurants, stores both grocery and other assorted beverage centers; plus it wasn't that far from the beach itself (no we did not go, but it was easy to find if needed). The Community itself was a quiet cool little place with friendly people who were more than willing to give a wave and hello; while that may seem normal to some..... coming from someone that has lived many places and vacationed a few too, this was a welcome change. Let's talk about interior of the home..... immaculate! It was clean, exactly what the pictures tell you and more. The back covered, closed porch was cool and a great place to wind down. I bet in the summer and especially in the spring it would be the most peaceful place ever to wind down a day or start a morning with a nice cup of coffee, not that it wasn't good for that even in December and January. Here is the bottom line: Do you want a nice place to stay that is clean, in a laid back place that is like your own, but still close enough to do anything you really want to at Bethany. Come Here, don't keep looking. Stop, stop right now and book this place. Trust me!"
