  • Cute, well-located Lewes getaway!

"We stayed in this home over 4th of July week and loved our time in Lewes. As a family of 4 with a small dog, Caryl's property was a perfect fit for us. It is centrally located but very private with a nice backyard area. The home is quaint with cute furnishings and Victorian accents and was just enough space to suit our needs. We felt it was appropriate for the price and again, the location is ideal for walking to the shops, restaurants and canal and easy access to the beach and bike trails."

  • A Family with all ages

"We love staying at this house, the location was great, you can drive a few minutes and get to the beach or down town Lewes, or Rehoboth. Also close to the awesome Cape Henelopen and Lewes Ferry. Loved that the place had bikes to ride, and tennis and a pool. My 9 year old son loved the X box in the house. There is a yummy restaurant in Five Points (the Green Turtle) We got food from there 2 times! We are going to come back, we just loved the house! Also had a 2 mile path around the whole place for running or biking! Very close to Grocery Store too."

  • Perfect little affordable cottage for a weekend getaway in a great location!

"We were thrilled to find this cute little gem for a wedding weekend. It is near the Love Creek marina and very close to Rehoboth and Lewes and all of the shopping and restaurants. It is located in a neighborhood of quiet cottages. At the entrance of the road you will see efficiency units located in what was a previous hotel. We met one resident of the cottages and he was very nice. It seemed to be a very quiet neighborhood. (We were there from Thursday to Sunday.) You must provide your own towels and bedding, although you will find a few pillows and blankets. The house was well stocked with appliances, including a large refrigerator, a very nice washer and dryer, a gas stove and oven, a toaster, blender, and a microwave. The dishes are on an open shelf so I would recommend washing them before use. (The shelf was dusty but the rest of the place was fine.) There is one bathroom so we planned accordingly. (Bring soap for the shower.) The bunk (twin and a full on bottom) is on the front porch but the front door is not used so it's like a bedroom. The bedroom also had a full bed that could have been more comfortable. There is a shower in the bathroom and there are plenty of towel racks. Two T.V.'s were provided, one in the bedroom and the other in the living room. There are window AC units and cable and wifi are included. We were thrilled to find games in one of the drawers so we could have a "family game night." The tides, just down the street, at the pier come in quite high (you may not always be able to walk to the pier.) My son took his fishing rod and ended up catching (and releasing) blue crabs. The back yard has a hammock, chairs, and a chimenea. I would bring bug spray because the house is close to the water. The owner was very easy to work with and even offered recommendations about bicycle rentals when I inquired. We would definitely return!"
